Caught up with Squared Away Blocks and a Finish

After my slightly grumpity episode, I have recovered and actually been very productive….
First of all, I caught up with all the Squared Away blocks:
I am itching to start the next block… but need to wait a little longer… Thanks to Alice for letting me use her lovely scraps!
I then made the most of hubby being away again and tried to make some sense of all my UFOs… they used to be nicely organized, before they moved three times…
It’s nice having a big bed to toss things on 🙂
In the end the bed was empty and the UFOs were contained:
Keep in mind that these are only the UFOs I have with me… there are hundreds more in Oz…. sigh….
Anyway, after that I decided to actually work on some… and put the borders on this star quilt:
It was too big for my “design wall” and kept flapping about in the a/c…
But it is a flimsy now, and will be going in my suitcase back to Oz in a few months…
Next I decided to tackle a Christmas UFO and got the binding on this little wall hanging:
It was dark by the time I finished, so the lighting for the next photo isn’t great…. but it is done!
I’ll take a better pic tomorrow in the daylight… it is a finish for Narelle’s 1 Christmas Item…
So I am pretty happy with what I have finished and am motivated to tackle some more UFOs….
PS I’m linking up to Finish it Friday, Scrap Happy Saturday, BOMs Away & Whoop Whoop!
About time you finished something…… All those new things and shopping…… Lol
Love the borders on your star flimsy & a lovely finish too with your Christmas hanging. Hugs,xx
Well, once you start sewing, you do it like you mean it! 🙂 Love the coordination of your UFO tubs with the pretty pink green and blue quilt on your bed.
Your blocks look fantastic and lined up together.
It’s always nice to sort your UFOs and actually get some done.
Your squared blocks are so pretty as your flimsy quilt finished with the border. I love seeing what people make for their one item a month for Christmas but I don’t want the pressure of signing up. Is there a way I can see what everyone makes? Now where is OZ. Is that your permanent home? Wherever you are keep sewing! Your a busy bee accomplishing a lot! Nancy
very well organised… Platic boxes are a crafters best friend…..
Hugz

Yep–you are on full steam ahead mode again!!! Good to see you back!!
Love that little Chmas one and a total finish how fun is that–
and great progress on the other ufo’s–keep it going–we need your ‘whip’ for the rest of us to keep going!!
enjoy, di
What a good feeling to have all your projects organised and now you can sew! Well done on the sewing you’ve got done – I love the big star quilt and the Christmas one is super cute 🙂
Very busy my dear Joy. I need your advice for organizing my UFO’s.
Miss you
Always feel really good to make some headway and get things accomplished, even if it’s just reorganizing . . . Which is a never ending project all by itself. Love that star quilt.
Love the Christmas wall hanging. Great job getting some UFOs finished.
the squared up blocks are lovely! Well done on continuing to tackle those ufos!
Great to finish things, isn’t it? I do like the big star, that is great fabric for it. The little Christmas finish is wonderful, even in that lighting. That’s two fewer UFOs in only one day!
Goodness I’m glad I’m not the only one with so many ufo’s! I love your RSC blocks, they’re going to look wonderful when the project is finsihed… I’ve not done mine for May yet, but hopefully will scrape in before the end of the month.
