Finishing Stitches

I’ve been making the most of the school holidays and trying to organize (hahaha!) my sewing room 🙂 You know what happened while I was doing this, don’t you? I found lots and lots and lots of UFOs and WISPs, etc, etc, etc…. So I got to thinking…. I really need to set myself a challenge of finishing some things each month – even just one thing. It would be so nice to get some of these projects done, rather than just having them sit around in boxes or piles in my sewing room.
Therefore, I would like to invite you to join me in:
Let’s get some things FINISHED this month!!!! If you want to join in, leave a comment here or email me. THERE WILL BE A PRIZE!!!! You have till midnight on the 31st of July to finish ONE UFO or WISP to be in the draw for the prize. Of course you can have more than one finish, but we don’t need a lot of pressure, do we? We have enough of that with all the new challenges we decide to join all the time!!
To clarify:
1. This is to FINISH something you have already started and has just been sitting there feeling neglected…. NOT to start something new and finish it.
2. Email me your name (and blog if you have one) and I will add you to my sidebar.
3. Tell me when you have finished a UFO and I will keep a tally next to your name.
4. It can be a big or small project, quilted or knitted or crocheted or sewn or glued or whatever! Let’s just get our creative spaces cleared of things that are waiting for those last stitches… (or glue!)
Feel free to grab the button above to put on your blogs and spread the word. The more of us encouraging each other, the better.
Let’s get FINISHED!!!
Sign me up please!!! L,A-
I sure have alot of those "things" sitting on shelves!!!! My goal the first of the year was to finish one "old" project each month–and some months I have managed that—but now there is the Christmas challenge each month–schnibbles for two more months–Kelly's quilt along(need to just hand quilt that)-my bom's I am in–the new doll mini's I am in–and I am hosting the Fall challenge–ohhhh— I needed to talk about that tonight–well–tomorrow then I will!!!!!
So friend–I must think about this one for a minute or two!!!
Hugs, Di
A little scary of the commitment but the mission is pure – count me in too – I will try my bestest!

Are we going to send in photos or something of our finished UFO's?
If you don't have a blog, just email me the photos of your finishes and I will post them on mine 🙂

I don't quilt but I did finish off a scarf today that had been sitting around for almost a month waiting to have the ends tied in and tassels put on – does that count?
Ok I'll join up I have SO many I dont know which one I will "start" to finish. hmmmmmmmm many many many
Good idea Joy, I have one in mind ready to go. Put me down.
Oh dear, I think I need to join you. No…… make that I *really* need to join you. LOL! I have SO many ufo's. If I join you all on this challenge, maybe I will be able to focus a lot better at finishing rather than starting. (sigh)
I think I'll start with finishing that Baseco Bag I start months ago. ;o)
What a great idea! Thanks for hosting this challenge.
Found you via Dot. This is exactly what I have been telling myself I need to do, as I have so many unfinished projects. I'll definitely be joining in!
Hi Joy,
Not sure the best way to keep in touch regarding things done….
