Balls of Fluff

The good thing about having older cats is that they are more likely to let you knit with them on your laps and not pull your wool. Even fluffy wool like this:
Every now and then Pepsi flicked his ears when the wool tickled them, but other than that, he was content to just stay comfy underneath all the fluff. In case you are wondering what I am knitting, it is the pair to this:
Fluffy slippers that are oh so nice and warm. I have also decided they will be great to dust the kickboards with 🙂 As I am writing this post I have the other finished and on… my toes are warm and cozy.
I cooked some more meals for my freezer today, so that when I have my surgery my family won’t live on take-away… 🙂 I also worked on a ufo that was going to be a wallhanging, but has morphed into a bag (as wallhangings are prone to do??!!)…. here are a few pics of the inside:
A spot for the latest magazines, a ruler and some knitting needles….
… scissors, crochet hooks and pins and needles…. It looks like it is going to be a very handy bag, don’t you think? Perfect for taking in to hospital with me so that I can do a bit of knitting, crocheting, or stitching.. whatever takes my fancy. I’ll let you in on a little secret…. I know the hospital rooms have comfy chairs with leg rests…. so once I am able to get out of bed, that is where you will find me 🙂
We’ve had some more join up with our Finishing Stitches this month, and one particularly special person (I am a bit biased!) – my darling daughter Elizabeth! She has just started her own blog and is the first to finish a ufo this month. Go over and say “hi”, won’t you? And pop in to all the others who joined in as well – I am sure we are going to get lots of lovely finishes!
Yep I see a patent coming–Mippers!
Save time and energy with the newest cleaning aid. The bag is very very cute. L,A-
Seriously, Joy – is there anything you can't do??? You're the rock star of sewing!
