I have been so busy sorting out stuff and getting ready for the packers to come. Yesterday I was so tired I slept in till mid-day… something I have never done before in my life!!! I decided my body was telling me to slow down and take it easy, so today I spent the day in my sewing room. I think Nina was happy to see me… I haven’t spent any time with her for so long!!
Here is a sneak peak of what I was working on:
You know what it is, don’t you….? Yes, I finished the top for the Fruit of the Spirit Block of the Month! Yay! I now need to write it up and post it on the web for you all 🙂 I am quite happy with how it turned out… and glad I didn’t give up on it, lol!!
We have dates for when the packers are going to come – the 22nd & 23rd of Dec 🙂 What fun! We will have a very empty house for Christmas….! Oh well.. such is life. I am trying to have everything sorted out by the end of November so that I am not stressing at the last minute. So far it is all going well….
Hope you are all well and sewing lots and lots!!! I’ll be back later in the week with the finishing instructions…
Not sewing lots Joy although I should be – just seem to have no energy! Wow, that date is soo close to Christmas! Knowing you, you will be all organised about it. I bet you will be going to your mum's for a while at Christmas and staying so probably won't miss the furniture for a little bit at least? Can we help with anything – what will you sleep on/with after the packers have been?? You could borrow some trestle tables from us re a kitchen and sewing table unless you are not sending your own overseas. Have some plastic chairs in the shed too. Got two single foam mattresses that you could put on the floor for 2 of the kids too – about 4-5" thick, not fab but Kahle managed to sleep on them for 12-18 months. Keep at it 🙂
I think you are right about your body telling you things…. not surprising really – … sounds like all is going well with the move even if Christmas day will be a bit different… Stay well..

Hi Joy–am glad to hear that all is going ok and that you are fine–hopefully–except for the tired part–and I join you on that–I did take it a little slower today–but I am one of those that has to be a doin something every minute it seems–even if it is just sittin in my chair and doing hand work or reading a quilt book!!!

I want a sewing Sunday. Didn't work out as planned. Maybe a sewing Monday???? Ugh!
Keep sewing for both of us.

I'm glad you got to slow down for a little while & revive with some quilting! I got to work on a barter quilt for the voice teacher for awhile today & it felt nice.
