….that’s me today 🙂 I am sitting down crocheting while all around me things are being packed! This is the view from my kitchen sink:
Yeah… I know… I need to wash my windows… 🙂 But you can vaguely see the container on the back of the truck and some stuff in there….
Lots of these around the place:
The container slowly filling up….
Yes people, it is really happening!!! This is my poor sewing room:
Oi! Where’s my fabric???!!! On the other hand… all those empty shelves,.. hmmm… what could I fill them with ?! No, I will be good, because we only have 4 suitcases of 20kg each to take on the plane… 🙂
So back to my crocheting… I am making a tablecloth, with DMC 10 white cotton and a 2.5mm hook:
You can’t tell how small it is but so far it’s about 7 inches square. I can just picture this on my table on top of a blue tablecloth… Got a ways to go still! But it is something I can take on the plane with me and alternate between yoyos and hexagons 🙂
In other news – I dropped my phone in a glass of water. I lead such an exciting life.
How exciting…. you are very brave making a crochet tablecloth…. you have my admiration FOREVER….
your phone…………..mmmm
Hugz
Put your phone in rice, I dropped mine about a month ago into water (hmmmmm) anyway, I opened it all up, took off the back, took the battery out, and put it into a bowl of just plain dry rice out of the box, left this for 24 hours in the rice, and the next day, it was all dried out and works fine. Mine was a touch type cell. Good luck on your move.
Sorry about your phone. Two months ago I accidently left mine sitting on my swing. Of course it rained that night. Mine was totally ruined.
Are you still planning on blogging when you get set up in your new country? Please say yes!
I can't believe you are already packed. Probably doesn't feel that way to you! 🙂 I wish you a very safe trip! That tablecloth is going to be gorgeous. I can't wait to see the whole thing!
Ah–you so sound like me–always dropping things, and I especially love to "spill" things!!!! My girl friend who drops her phone alot in her dish water–uses a hair dryer to dry it out–works!!!
Hugs, di and miss gracie

OH YOU ARE SO AMAZING TO BE OFF ON SUCH AN ADVENTURE,I admire you moving so far away and living in a new country. To be young again. I hope you will continue to blog occasionally and let us know all the things you learn from fibre artists in your new home.
