New Year’s Eve…

And so it is the end of another year…. hasn’t it gone by quickly? I think so at least 🙂 Perhaps with so many changes (oh dear, there is that word again! I’m rather sick of it!), it has gone even quicker than normal. But really, it is probably just old age… hee heee 🙂
I’ve been playing with my new website and managed to import my posts from blogger, so it feels more like home here already. Now to sort out the mess that is JJ’s. I might need hubby’s help on that one.
I’m sitting in the classroom of my shop having a cuppa made by Dan, my cuppa boy. Beth is still in bed (it’s 10.30am) with the flu’… and Matt is having a sleepover at friends. The cats have been kicked out so peace reigns supreme at the moment…. It’s a time to contemplate the old year, and think about the new…
I do have one huge distraction, however. This:
That would be 800 meters of new fabric for my shop 🙂 Hubby was so good and drove me all the way to Nora’s to fetch it two weekends ago. I have sorted through about a third of it already – ironed, measured, folded, etc. It is so much fun to see all the pretty prints and colors! I’ve also gotten a bit distracted with some of it and started on some baby quilts:
These patches will go nicely with some of the kids prints which I still need to cut up into 6 1/2″ squares…..
….and on that note, my cuppa is all gone and I should go do some work so that I am ready for the New Year and my new word 🙂
Happy New Year everyone and thanks for all the lovely welcome back wishes!!
