My new word for the year…. it’s a challenging one, let me tell you! I keep thinking I should choose an easier one, but really, this is the word that has been popping up and is wanting to be mine for the year… and it is…
ORGANIZE!
Sigh… the dreaded “O” word… You know, we have been in this house for a year now, and hubby has just paid the rent for another year, so God willing we will not be moving house or country in the near future… which means, I need to take the opportunity to get organized. Thankfully Alice is also going to work on that this year, and I do keep telling her that we have all year to do it, so we must not panic!!! (Or run around like headless chooks, Lola!)
We can’t do this on our own, so we are making a plan. We are going to concentrate on one area a month. We haven’t decided which ones yet, except we know we are starting with working on organizing our ufo’s and sewing/quilting projects in January. Hopefully it won’t take more than a month to do that, lol!
We would also like to ask for YOUR help! Every month we will be asking for your hints and tips on organizing the area we are working on. Then we’d like your permission to compile your comments into a free ebook/ebooklet so that we can all have these tips handy when we need some motivaton! We’ll also have a giveaway each month… probably a charm pack, or some chocolate, or something cute… or.. or… 🙂
How does that sound? I’ll be putting up a post soon where you can tell us your hints and tips, but for now I have a question… Do you spell organize with an s or a z? And do you say zee or zed?
I think organise should be my word of the year – but that just makes me want to get in bed and pull the covers over my head! I don’t know if I’ll be much help to you with your e-book!! It’s spelt with an “s” for me as I’m English and I also say “zed”, again because I’m English
It kind of makes me want to hid in bed too…!!! But we can do it, can’t we?! Sigh… one day at a time perhaps!
Organize is such a good word! I love getting organized! Shame it never lasts very long! LOL
great word for the year…. I am trying ‘to organise’ my sewing things…. if I was going to do it alphabetically it would go as far as ‘zed’…..
Compiling tips is a good idea…
Hugz
Well I will remain calm and cheer you both on from my side line seat!! I can see Alice in a spin right now though…;-)
Whenever I organise my sewing stuff, I have trouble finding things for a while. I’m trying to condense my sewing area but it seems to keep spreading.
‘Organise’ is with an ‘s’ for me and I say zed.
Good Luck 🙂
Yes I am the same Narelle, it always takes me ages to find everything! Even with labels, lol! Maybe this year will be better… 🙂 One can only hope!
Organise (with an S) is a good word, I try to be as organised as possible it just makes things so much easier. I say zed not zee.
