It’s Thursday, or as dh likes to call it –Â “Virtual Saturday”. I don’t know where the week went… Oh, I guess it started with another course of this:
My sore throat never quite cleared up after the first box, and then started getting worse after last weekend, so I sent dh off the chemist to get me some more. Lucky thing here, you can just get whatever you want over the counter. No need to get a prescription. Of course if it persists after this box is done, I will have to go see a doctor…
The next highlight of my week was a storm, not sand this time though:
Hail the size of M&M’s and then a huge downpour of rain. At least it cleaned all the walls from the last dust storm.
Because I was still not feeling well, I canceled most of what I had on and just tried to rest up… did a bit of sewing, must take photos of that in the daylight…
Ok, the History Mystery – date on the plaque:
Marilyn was the closest at guessing:
“….are the numbers 1225 or 1335…..”
The numbers are in Arabic, and they say: 1325
So, the date is 1325, but….. if you remember, in my first post about our trip I told you the railway was built in the early 1900’s, finished in 1908, so WHY is the date on the plaque 1325??????? Any ideas?
Because it is the date completed on the Islamic calendar.
I know that they are in the year 1433 now and that adjusting for the fact that their years are shorter than ours and on and on–it comes to approx. between 104 of our years and 108 of theirs and am I completely wrong???
Cause it is really late and I should be sleeping instead of doing math.
You are so clever 🙂 Must be a math teacher!
