I have been meaning to join in on FNSI for a very loooong time… but I keep forgetting… Last week I actually got as far as signing up, because Wendy kindly told me that even if it wasn’t actually Friday night, I could still join in anytime on the weekend..because it was Friday night somewhere in the world… Well, of course with the Iftar on Friday night I forgot… again… and then remembered last night 🙂 It was only because I linked up that I went and sewed… the temptation to watch telly was pushed aside as was all the junk around the sewing machine…. so thank you Wendy for the motivation! Here is what I did…
I decided to work on my scrappy stars…
Ameera kept me company, and I gave her some thread to play with:
I always draw and sew an extra line/seam on these half square thingos:
So that at the end I have a lot of these half square triangle thingos:
(Which of course I WILL do SOMETHING with ONE DAY) (Really)
And finished two scrappy stars:
That makes 12 in total… still want to make more because I am aiming for a big quilt.
Thanks again for letting me join in, and OH! Please come back tomorrow for a SURPRISE GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!!!!

Gorgeous stars Joy! (I love stars and I love scraps so I really think you are onto a winner!!). Great idea to sew that extra seam… I usually save my cut off triangles but if they are already sewn together… brilliant!!
