Getting Settled?

I suppose you could say we are getting settled…. Unpacked the last box the other day, but still have a lot of sorting to do. Most important was the boys doing this:
Emmie G is now set up, but not running yet. And no photo of her set up because it is still a mess around her and only Alice gets to see a photo of the mess 🙂
I keep thinking… tomorrow it will be nice and tidy and I will take photos and blog…. However, at the moment tomorrow does not seem to be coming anytime soon!
Other things I have been up to?
* Meeting and making friends with a blog friend who has just moved to the same town…
* Caught up with my old quilt group in my little country town – lovely to see old faces and meet new ones!
* Got invited to a new quilt group that meets on a Monday morning – took Baby B with me and actually did some sewing! Amazing! Everyone was so friendly and I really enjoyed it…
* Getting DS15 ready to start school next term – buying books, uniforms, shoes, etc, etc, etc….
* Getting some scratches on my new second hand car, which only goes to show what they already know in Arabia – women should not be driving… 🙂
* Getting parcels in the mail from Di and Alice… so much fun…
* Oh, and last but not least…. missing Arabia and my friends there……
So, tomorrow I will take photos of a tidy quilting room (????) and blog (?????)… right???
Thanks everyone for bearing with me while I have what is turning out to be a long bloggy interruption…
I just told Alice in her email today–that I needed to hear from you and get an email off to you as you had not posted in awhile!!!
I does take forever to get settled any more–
I am still working on that and I have been here 10 years!!!
right now I am sorting and getting rid of fabric–I have way too much–and it does make it hard to decide what to use for each project–plus the mess it makes looking through each pile–you know that the ‘pile’ does not go back onto the shelf the same ‘neat’ way that it came out!!!!
Hang in there– we will both be back to sewing before long–hopefully!!!
hugs, di and miss gracie
Aha, the sewing along with other people is doing the trick. Has Emmi G had her oil yet? It was great to sew along with a friend yesterday and will look out for another table that is easier for you to put the machine on. Take care.
You have been so busy!!! I am impressed that you got some sewing done. I hope to remember how one of these days.
I will come help!
If only time would stand still … we could at least catch up and maybe even get a step ahead 🙂
Lovely to catch up with your goings on and hope Emmie G will be humming away soon.
So glad you have started quilting with a group again Joy, a little ice tea, new friends and a chat are all good for the soul! Can’t wait to see your new creations xx
Blogging takes time, and sometimes it has to come second. A friend reminded my today that it is over a week since I posted, but been busy. Look forward to meeting up with you one day.
So nice for you to be sewing again and meeting up with other sewing folks! moving house a few times and setting up takes time. So here is hoping you are all settled for a long while now.
By the way I can either have a clean sewing room and no sewing or a messy one having fun sewing!!
Hugs!
It’s good to “see” you again.
