If you look closely at the picture above and check out the water bottles and the tissue box, you can probably guess where I am….
Two weeks ago DD and I flew back into Arabia, and it just felt like we’d never been gone!
It’s still dusty, the traffic is still hectic, and the familiar buildings still there. Actually one big change is how many new tall buildings there are now in the city – there seems to be building going on everywhere.
Why are we back here? Well, DH got a job here again in February. The rest of us are still in Oz until DS17 finishes year 12, and once he is settled in to Uni or whatever he chooses to do, I will come and join DH properly. Until then I will be flying back and forth visiting. (And to think I really don’t like traveling… sigh!)
It has been lovely seeing everyone again and I’ve been getting lots of sewing done!! Seems like forever since I’ve had even an afternoon to do some stitching…
So to all of you who have asked for an update, now you know the latest from my end! I’ll post more in the next few days 🙂
OK, of course I knew where you were as we talked recently, but it’s lovely seeing a post pop up. Drove past last week on our way home from S.A. and saw your Dad’s car there so knew the studio is still coming along. Have a great time and see you when you get back. Take care.
So nice to see you again! You lead an exciting life.

I know that cheese grater!!! And it does look the same–looking at it through the dust haze.
I love that table filled with goodies too.
Lovely to see a post from you! Sure it is nice to visit with your DH for a bit. Sounds like most of your chicks have flown from the nest. WOW that is a lot of yo yos. Look forward to more posts of your adventures!
Hello Joy, it was lovely to hear from you on my blog…. It came as a no reply for some reason but I have managed to track you down here…. so back to your other home – that is rather fun and straight into some teaching. It all sounds terribly romantic but I know in reality there is always ups and downs with these changes but you seem to manage them well and make the most of it….
I thought you had stopped blogging but now you seem to be back into it I will get your blog on my feeds so I can keep up a bit better….
