And then there were two….

DH left last night to go back to Arabia. He was here for two and a half weeks and that went by very quickly! It’s a bit sad, but I will actually see him again in three weeks time because we are meeting up in Dubai for Eid. We’ll be there for 10 days and I’m sure a trip to the sewing souk will be in order 🙂
Then today DD Beth moved into town (with her bunny rabbit)…. leaving just myself and DS 18. It is going to be very quiet around here!
It’s an interesting stage of life I seem to be in – children leaving home one by one, hubby in a different country… I think the best thing for me to do today is head out to my studio and join in on FNSI – don’t you think?
Now that’s a surprise. Where has she gone in town & is it because of work? I’ll bet you are looking forward to your trip to Dubai. Take care.
She’s moved in with Mum and Dad, to be closer to the bus and stuff 🙂 xx
Hang in there…… It gets weird when they start to leave home……
Not sure how you do the other country bit though……
The other country bit is the harder one of the two…! But then we have done it before so I should be used to it…. xx
Yes, it is hard when the leave the nest–in one way we might want them to be on their own, yet–it hurts as we still want to believe that they want and need us–so they need to stay at home!!!
Sooo–sewing is the best medicine for you–you go, girl!!
love and laughter, di
It’s a funny thing, isn’t it… yep, sewing is the best med!! xx
I always cried so hard when my kids left home and shouted at myself for being so successful in raising indendant children!! haha…. changes changes but we women move on .. thank goodness for our sewing…
Hugz
Lol, I get what you’re saying! I guess we all get used to it eventually and I do have lots to keep me busy! xx
I think I would just enjoy the peace and quiet for a few days, and get a lot of sewing done! Life is constantly changing, isn’t it?
Yes it is Sunny! And I am enjoying the peace and quiet 🙂 I’m sure it won’t last, lol!! xx
Yup. I spent nearly the whole day sewing on the day that my oldest left home to work in the oil fields. Therapeutic indeed.
They do say it is the hardest when your oldest leaves… thank goodness for our hobbies!! xx
I have gone from “there were 6” to “now only one”. Vast difference, but am never bored, and lots to keep busy helps. They all come back at times to visit, now with their own children.
Yes, I am never bored either.. and it is so nice when they come back to visit! xx
