Jetlag and Moving Yet Again

Back home again for just over a week now and had a bad case of jetlag. It seems to take me longer and longer to get over the flights – and it is worse coming back this way, rather than flying that way. Anyway, thankfully it has been school holidays and I have just been resting and pottering around the house. Haven’t spent much time on the net either, but I will go and visit all of you soon.
My crochet project in Dubai was a funny little upside down tea cosy 🙂
I don’t like strong tea, so I like to put extra hot water in after I have had a few cups. I made it up as I went along, and I think it turned out ok! Needs a bit of tweaking, but it and the teapot are in Arabia now because I sent it (along with another 15kg of quilting stuff) on the plane with DH.
See DS 18 is nearly finished with Year 12… only 2 1/2 weeks to go till exams, and then he and his sister will be moving into a unit in town…. and I will be moving back to Arabia….
It’s a happy and sad time for me. I want to be with DH in Arabia and am looking forward to being with all my friends there… but of course I am leaving family and friends here too. This is always a problem when you love two countries! But I am looking at it positively and seeing it as a new adventure in our lives.
Since I can only go with a suitcase this time (the last three times we were given a shipping allowance), as mentioned above, I already took some stuff to Dubai for DH to take. Important stuff. Like my teapot. And some UFOS, and heavy Bernina feet:
Amazing how quickly the suitcase gets too heavy! At least I am going to have some projects to work on when I get there.
So now I am gearing up to start packing up the house… again… and I have decided to do something totally crazy for October… unless I chicken out…! Stay posted…
My gosh girl, you don’t stay put for long, do you? Such an adventure, your life is. LOVE you little tea cozy!
I can’t beleive you are leaving again–after your father built you that nice sewing studio–but do understand loving 2 places and wanting to be near DH–I will worry more about you though when you are there with DH–
love and laughter, di
Goodluck packing up again but great opportunity to see another country again esp when you enjoy it there……
