This is our 24th move in 24 years of marriage… yes, you read that correctly… you would think I’d be used to it by now. I think I should write a book…. really… or become a professional removalist, I’d rock at that… oh well, I’d rather be a quilter…. Maybe one day we’ll stay in one place longer than 2 years and 3 months. You just never know.
I’ve been doing stuff inside and out – weeding, yes here is proof Chookyblue and Annie that the heli-whats-it has been freed of weeds (just need to put woodchips down now):
The container on our block is waiting to get filled up…
… so that will be my life for the next three weeks because I hope to be out of here by the end of November, and then I will hang around waiting for my visa – during which time I should be able to sew again, right? Right. Here’s to hoping…
I thought my 13 different homes in my lifetime was enough changes, but you seem to be way ahead! Do you use each move as an opportunity to declutter, or like me and just move it all each time?
I think I’d rather sew than move! We have so much STUFF that I couldn’t even begin to think of moving. I was thinking of you earlier. Christmas tunes are playing and major progress has been made on Christmas UFO!!
Woo hoo the precious plant can see the light……. I am impressed.
Goodluck with the packing.yes get packed and got can work on your 176 ufos……
Packing and moving-again!! Oh how I still remember those days–like you I moved many many times until about 1995–then I spent 6 years in one apt–3 years in the next one and 12 years in the Senior apts in NY–and now here I am in Florida for the last 14 months–in some ways I am ready to move on–want to see new places and take new photos of things–I need a RV and to be able to just travel–but—one needs money for that–
happy packing–
so far I have not been able to work on any ‘old Christmas ufo’s’ but have started some new ones!!!!
love and laughter, di
Wishing you the best with it all ♥
Ah, the moving saga! At least most of it isn’t going too far, so that is a bonus. Your “hellebore” looks lonely now. Maybe you should pot it up & take it for the kids to look after. Are the ponies still there, as I’m hoping they don’t want to explore the container. I’ll ring later this morning & hope to catch you. Take care.
Hope it all goes smoothly and that you’ll be able to fit in some sewing even while packing.
Wishing you all the best with your move Joy,gee thats a lot of packing 24 moves in 24 years.
I can’t imagine so many moves! Wow! Make sure you try to take time for a little self care while you’re at it. Good luck with the move.
