…. a quick road trip to Sydney… Yes, in the middle of all this “hecticness” the kids and I had to go up to Sydney to renew our Dutch passports. The rules have changed and we couldn’t do them in Melbourne anymore. Quite a hassle. We were not the only ones on the day to come from interstate – there were some from Tassie and Qld too… quite an expensive affair for us, but it had to be done.
We took a few days to drive up and are on our way back now. We didn’t really do anything touristy, except stop by to see the dog:
It was at the end of a long day of driving and none of us were too impressed (sorry doggy) but at least we said: “Hi” 🙂
I booked an apartment style hotel in Campbelltown so that we could cook our own meals. It was quite nice….. and having brought Baby B in the boot, she got prime position on the desk:
Yes!! I worked on my Christmas ufo!! Aren’t I a good girl 🙂 Not finished yet…. need to keep at it!
Meanwhile, back on the farm, the container is nearly packed:
No, the photo is not on its side. There is a trailer in there on its side… with the wheels missing, and some chairs on their side and upside down… Dad knows how to pack every nook and cranny 🙂
Just got to finish up in the garden and clean the house, grab the last little bits out and then we will be done!!
I had hoped to finish up before we left for Sydney, but the people who were going to move in got accepted somewhere else, so we have a bit more time – which it turns out we need. It seems like all the last things take more time than expected.
We are in Wangaratta tonight, a little less than 4 hours back to Ballarat tomorrow… I was dreading this trip, but in the end, everything went smoothly at the embassy and we even have had a little relax.
Hope you are all having a great week!
Never a dull moment for you! Such a long drive for a little paperwork. Glad everything’s in order now. Safe travels, and Merry Christmas!
Have sewing machine will travel–glad you and kids had some time together and that everything is falling into place at the house–guess it also means you will be looking for new renters–best of luck on that for you–
love and laughter, di
I couldn’t remember when you were going & what with us going to Canberra a fortnight ago I was all mixed up. Best see you either this weekend or maybe next week, though Tuesday K is having a tooth out & I have stitches out on Wednesday. Must make it soon otherwise you’ll be gone again. Funny about that pic, as I took exactly the same one going up to Canberra, but haven’t posted about that trip yet. Take care.
all the best for your travels, why do you need a dutch passport? Merry christmas
Good luck with the whole moving business!! I can’t imagine moving so often, I guess it’s a good way to keep on top of hoarding…? Glad you had a successful trip to Sydney..the last thing you needed, I guess.
oh well done Joy….. taking it in your stride….
Hugz
so glad everything is sorted………….
