This time to take my parents to get their Dutch passports renewed… and take DS 18 to college! I’m starting to get to know my way around NSW! Well, one road at least 🙂
But first…
Friday Night with Friends
…last Friday I joined in for the first time this year with FNwF. I was working on these little zippy bags that I started before Christmas:
I actually finished them on Saturday morning and gave them away to the ladies in my Saturday quilt group… and forgot to take a pic of them done. Sorry, you’ll have to trust me on this – the six pouches did not become UFOs, amazing eh?!
Sydney Again…
This time on our trip to Sydney we made a stop in Yass to catch up with a dear friend from Arabia, who is now home in Canberra. Yvonne is a great quilter, who helped me out in my little shop in Arabia… we were very good at getting into mischief with new projects… the difference between us was that she finished what we started and I didn’t!
Yvonne brought one of her finished tops to show me, she is very good at needleturn, have a look here:
More about this quilt next week…. It was lovely to catch up, and we plan on meeting up again in the Aussie wintertime later this year…
Today we did the Dutch embassy visit…
It was a help for Mum and Dad that I had been there before and could show them where they had to go. It all went smoothly and we even had time for a nice cuppa:
And… ahem… lemon tart….
Gave us energy at least 🙂
Tomorrow I’m taking DS to his new home… will be interesting to see where he will be staying for the next year… I’ll let you know how it goes 🙂
You are making me dizzy!!! And you manage to get things finished. I am very impressed. Fortunately we were able to pop our passports in the mail and have them back already. I was impressed with them too. I have managed to get some sewing done this weekend, but now it is back to work and life for a few days. Hopefully I can get back into it in a couple of days.
You are clocking up the miles lately – glad the trip went smoothly! The little pouches look like they would have ben very cute – well done on getting them done! I”ll be looking out for ‘more about the quilt’ – it looks like a real beauty!

Thanks for the catchup & hope to see you when you get home. Your friend’s quilt looks very interesting & would love to see the whole thing. Hmmm?
I’m sure the little pouches were very cute. Take care & talk when you are back.
Would have loved to see a finished photo, but never mind, and I think I might recognise that quilt, as it looks like one I quilted last year for a customer??
Oh would have loved to have seen what your pouches looked like finished. they look interesting…
Hope DSs move went well.
Those little bags look fabulous. I would love to see a photo of them.
