Took DS to his new home today. We thought he was sharing a house with some other students, but turns out they found him a family to board with.. which is good because he might get a decent meal every now and then.
Being a good mother, however, I did send him with the essentials:
Note the Vegemite. Very important for an Aussie boy. Granted he could buy it himself, but DD doesn’t eat it much and I won’t touch the stuff, so we sent it with him. Also in the picture are Dutch sprinkles. Since he is partly Dutch he needs them to survive as well 🙂
So now that I have sorted child #3 out, I need to get my visa and go join my DH…..
UFOs
I brought some UFOs to work on, but to be honest I haven’t had a chance yet between all the driving around. I will go and sit on the couch after I post this and work on some though…
Challenges
I did manage to get the pages up for Finishing Stitches and the 2017 Cut Your UFOs in Half challenges. If you are joining in on the latter, please let me know your UFO goal and I will add you to the table. So far I have myself and Alice there.
Ok, off to do some stitching…. tomorrow we start the drive back to Victoria, 5 hours to Wodonga and then on Saturday 4 hours to Ballarat…. hope you are all having a great week!
Hi Joy looks like your boy is all set, hope he has a great time with his new family .
Lol my hubby is Dutch ,well first one born in Australia from Dutch parents and from a family of 16.
Safe travelling my friend.
Good luck to your son! A blogging friend sent me some Vegemite one time to try. How awful!! I’m signed up for the Cut your UFO’s in half. I’m embarrassed to say I have 12 UFO’s. Can I still join? LOL! A couple of them are long term projects, but I can easily finish at least 6 of them this year. Hopefully more. Now get to stitching!!
I feel old!!!! I would like to stuff them all back into those cute little kids that we homeschooled please!! I didn’t make so many UFO’s back then either. I know he is going to do awesome!!
I hope your son enjoys his year with his new family! Without getting into any transTasman ‘arguments’ I really think the Vegemite should be replaced with Marmite! Safe driving 🙂
They are all grown up now & to think I have a grand daughter older than your youngest. That’s scary. I’m still working on UFO lists, because I’ve misplaced the first one I did. Mine is quite long too, along with trying to stash bust as well. Safe trip home & I’ll see you before you jet off.
So all the fledgelings and fledded! Well done you. I always thought I was successful when the kids left home as it meant they were independant…. even if it made me sad for a few minutes!!! haha….. My goal is 30 – from memory I had 60 to do….. some big some little …. some will never be done maybe…
Hugz
looks all sorted for Uni………..hope it goes well…………..
