Had a lovely morning at craft today, lots of ladies, and one extra special one came today! Shez from I Am….
It was the first time we met in real life – the funny thing is that it took us a few months of being blog friends before we realized we only lived 10 min from each other! And then it took a few more months to actually meet, lol! I must say we had a great time, and did more chatting than sewing, which is really why we go to craft mornings, right?!
See the ladies in the background looking at a quilt? Here is that quilt a bit closer up:
It was a from a beginner’s class, and Cathy had just finished piecing it together. She was also working on this lovely sashiko:
Sharon was doing a great job on her hand applique:
I did take a few pic of Shez’s lovely hand work but the photos turned out blurry, so you’ll have go to her blog to check them out..
Last but not least, Sue finished her second ever quilt:
She has a smile on her face but she informed us that a lot of blood and sweat (literally) went into quilting it, not to mention a few naughty words 🙂 We all think she did a great job! Way to go Sue!
It was a nice relaxing morning… I sewed some of my crochet rows together, had two cups of tea and we had very interesting conversations including which level of Candy Crush we were on…. 🙂 I found out that I am waaaay behind everyone else…. oh well!
Emmie G and me….
This is the next top I loaded… a small strings table topper that I want to take to Arabia with me. I put lots of backing on the machine so I can do some table runners too…
Visa news….
Got an email this afternoon to say my visa has been approved! Yay! They are popping it in the mail and I should get it in a day or two. So when I told the ladies this morning it was going to be my last craft morning for a while, I was right… I am hoping to leave next Sunday, so it’s going to be a busy week!
Tomorrow is the link up for Finishing Stitches, anyone can join in….. till then, keep sewing!
What a fun day! And you got to meet Shez! I’ll bet there were a lot of laughs. Good news to hear that you move is moving along.
So you are going to be off once again–!!
