Getting my Sewing Room Organized

I’ve made some progress on unpacking and setting up my sewing room. At this stage it is only a sewing corner, but hey, it works!
I managed to trim the strings table topper that I was quilting before I left, and bought some fabric for binding:
Yes, I had to BUY it since I don’t have a stash here… so sad… And of course a couple more bits of “necessary” fabric came home:
The white fabric that is blending in nicely with the table top is necessary for some stitcheries I want to do, and the pretty one on the right is “necessary” (really) because I NEED a new bag. Really. Just realized of course that I need some matching fabric 🙂 🙂 🙂 Good thing I am heading off to Nora’s again this morning…
I also bought this cool organizer which is for scrapbooking but will work very nicely for quilting, don’t you think?
Not just quilting stuff, knitting needles and crochet hooks 🙂 I’m sure it will fill up quickly!
I forgot to take photos of Nora’s shop, but will try to remember to take some today because I am just about to head out the door…
Hope you’re all working on UFOs and getting stuff done for Finishing Stitches!
Wow, that is getting organised quickly. Love the pinky/black fabric & how lucky to have a shop so close. I’m sort of finishing bits, slowly. Might have something to show for Finishing Stitches. Is it the end of each month they are to be posted? We had a little rain today & somewhat cooler too. Take care & enjoy stitching.
Hi Joy,your sewing room looks fantastic, love those shelfs and your new fabric is gorgeous, looking forward to a pic of the shop xx
Love your “necessary” fabric!
You know I love that fabric you bought for the bag. I have a tote like that, but yours is much prettier. I got mine at the one of the home improvement stores. Function, not fashion??

Looks so nice and fresh ready to fill up with new stash! I am working on a QAYG string quilt for DH to use on sofa. Using older fabrics I cut into strips with my GO. Will be a lovely bag! I have a pink Craftsman tool bag I use that was made for ‘manly’ type tools. hahaha! I may have to start shopping at Alice’s. 😉
Well now I know you have settled in…. sewing room/corner and been to the fabric shop…. all is good!
