Yesterday at craft was fun yet again… most of the ladies are knitting socks…
It’s very hypnotic watching all those needles go, and let me tell you do they go! Twice as fast as I can knit!
I was doing some stitching… pinched this pic from Shez’s facebook page (thanks Shez!):
It’s a pattern by DD and it is going to be a cushion… I’ll be showing you more when it is done.
I finished the quilt on Emmie G….
It was a friendship quilt started back in 2006 I think, so another UFO done! Yay!
Next up on Emmie G:
Yep, another star quilt… can you tell I made a bunch of them at the same time? I can never seem to stop at one… no wonder I have so many UFOs! I’m halfway through quilting this one…
In between playing with Emmie G I finished the applique on this quilt – the flowers were ironed on, just needed sewing down. I did raw edge applique:
It is also in the “to be quilted” pile…
Now that I’ve managed to get that all into a blog post I can see that I have been busy after all… which is why I love blogging – sometimes the weeks go by and I think I haven’t done anything, but when I look at my blog I can see that I am making progress. I need to go update my list 🙂
Meanwhile, back in the desert, I have missed out on a very important visitor:
Well, that’s it for now folks…. I’ll be back in a few days to tell you about my newsletter.. you’ve no doubt seen the links and are wondering what it’s all about 🙂 I know I am slow to explain things… I’ll get there soon. Until then, keep stitching!
You have been very busy!! Well done! I just finished a very late lunch–does that count? Too much work and not enough sewing makes me a little nutty!!
You are making headway on the ufo’s……. How many down now?
Yes the newsletter been wondering about that too….
Love the stitchery, so cute. Love the friendship quilt. I need to get back to my ufo’s. Been a bit slack the last week or 2 .:). Hugs,xx
Wow, you have been busy. I also have runs on star quilts, but at least your quilting yours. My bookshelf quilt is still languishing 3/4 finished on Bubs. I’ve only blogged once this month and have decided I must have “Maynoblogitis” ! OK, so that’s being silly, but life seems to be getting in the way. I’ve about 3 posts sitting in my head to catch up on, but it’s not happening. It’s the last Friday of the month this week & even my Scavenger Hunt is only just emerging with photos. Must catch up. Take care.
I think I have Maynoblogitis, too!
I’m sure you are sad you missed the excitement in Saudi…. I think I would enjoy playing with Emma G… your work is looking lovely. the stitchery is ever so sweet and will make a lovely cushion. I keep promising myself to learn to knit socks…
Hugz
Hi Joy wow i just love all your work, your daughter is very clever, love her design.
Love your last pic,i was picturing Saudi to be all desert, lol.
Yes our group love their knitted socks,i will be joining them next week too i hope to start mine.
Well done joy with getting more UFO out of the way xx
You have been very busy. I take it Emmie G is a long arm quilt machine. You seem to be so efficient with your stitching. I always feel so scattered myself.
I’d say you were plenty busy! Another of E’s designs? I can hardly wait to see it. It looks lovely from here! Knitting is the only thing I’ve never really gotten the hang of, as far as handcrafts. Well, I haven’t tried tole painting, but I think I could do that. =)
Being a raiser of bunnies, I really like that bunny embroidery. Can’t wait to see more of it.
