I’ve been very productive since I last posted… which is why I’ve been quiet in blogland – been too busy sewing! I’ve been doing a lot of stitcheries, don’t have photos of them yet, and I’ve got four quilts ready to pop binding on, all of them UFOS:
The two top ones are baby quilts that I loaded on the Gammill at the same time, so they were really quick to finish:
On Tuesday my friend Yvonne came down from Canberra. She’s the one who made the Snowflake Medallion. Of course we have been sewing non-stop since she got here 🙂
We’ve got the two sewing machines set up side by side and we’ve been working on two BOMs that I am going to start at the shop in September.
There has been a lot of choosing of fabric, for the pieced blocks and applique…
More on that when we start it in September!
Tomorrow we are heading off to a quilt retreat at Judy’s – so excited! It’s my first ever quilt retreat 🙂
I’m sorry I’m behind on blog visiting… will catch up when I get home next week. We are driving home next Tuesday, then Yvonne leaves on Wednesday afternoon… (will have time for a bit more sewing in the morning, lol!)
Ok, better go get the sewing machines packed up…
I might get time to blog at the retreat (depending on how hard Judy works us!), otherwise I’ll catch you all when we get back!
This post had not come up on my blog yet, but Raelene was onto it, and had read it, so I checked and presto! Looking forward to the weekend, and now I can “see” Yvonne before she gets here. I won’t work you too hard, it will be up to you!
Sewing with friends is the best!

Hello again from Virginia! Sorry for the long delay…life gets in the way sometimes, doesn’t it?!! You continue to full my days with Joy as I catch up on your posts. I am so INSPIRED by your UFO determination! You are helping me to do the same, and I have dug out many old projects and made a list similar to yours. Thank you! Enjoy your retreat…I will think of you, as I am leaving for Wisconsin tomorrow for a quilt retreat, too! Lots of love, Erika in America
The picture of the cute cottage tea party has me intrigued. Hope that’s part of the BOM. Have fun at the retreat!
