What an awesome weekend we had! It started on Friday….. we got there early afternoon and Judy had everything set up for us…
The tables were all ready for us to start… Each of us had a handy sewing mat to put our machine on:
and a goody bag with of all this inside:
I must say by the end of the weekend I hadn’t touched any of the yummies, because as you could see in the last post there was plenty of food around!
Before we could start sewing, we first had to have a project to sew! This weekend was a Pick-a-case Mystery Retreat, and Judy had all of these cases ready for us to pick from:
We weren’t allowed to go and just pick one though… there was quite a process! First of all we played Bingo! Pat was in charge of calling the numbers
And a good job she did too! Yvonne and I got Bingo! at the same time 🙂
So Yvonne and I got to go to the lounge room where there were cards with pictures of all the quilts on the coffee table… but turned upside down so we couldn’t see them! We got to pick a card and take it back to the table…. When everyone got a card, we all turned them over and looked at them together 🙂 There were lots of ooohs and aaahs as we saw what we were going to work on for the weekend!
I got “Chains of Blue”:
In this lovely case:
And that is all for part 1…… I’ll open the case up for you online in the next post 🙂
Darn it I’ve been waiting all weekend to see what you worked on in the mystery cases…… Hurry up…..
Hurry up with the next post Joy. 😊. I want to see what was in the mystery case. The case is lovely. Hugs, xx
