Is it just me or has June gone by way too quickly? Four more days and I’ll be flying away again with a suitcase full of UFOs 🙂
I did a lot of sewing this month. I quilted 5 quilts on Emmie G…. sewed lots at the retreat… and did some other odds and ends..
So did I actually finish any this month? YES!
I put the binding on this little wall hanging which was a class I took back in 2010:
Put the binding on this one which was a free BOM that Alice and I hosted a very long time ago:
Need to take some better photos when it is not raining…here are a few blocks closer up:
My lovely friend Brenda did the quilting on it because I wanted it to be special. This pattern will be up for sale again soon.. more on that another day.
I also finished this big bag to put my cutting mat and ruler in when I go to craft:
I think that was all that I actually finished completely.
Oh, just realized I forgot to count the star quilt I finished last month and gave to my Mum for Mother’s day… so I’ll count that in this month’s 🙂
So 4 UFOs finished.
For Part B of the Finishing Stitches challenge I did 49 blocks in the Chains of Blue quilt, 40 blocks for the “He loves me, he loves me not” quilt, and 4 for the other little purple quilt I was working on. Total of 93 blocks – that’s pretty cool!
And now it’s your turn! All you have to do if you are participating is to fill in Mr Linky below and link to a post that tells us what you have done for the Finishing Stitches challenge this month. Remember there are two parts, you can join in on one, or both.
Please link to a POST, not to your website, so that we can see the projects that you have been working on. If you have already posted about what you have made for the challenge this month, then link to that post. If you haven’t written about it yet, then write a new post and link to that one. You can also do a summary like I did above, linking to your finishes in past posts. Does that make sense?! I hope so! If not, just ask!
Hi Joy you had a good month !well done and safe travels my friend xx
I am kind of happy with my progress this month. I linked to my Christine’s Kitchen top. It is ready for me to get to layering and quilting (ha ha ha). And I also finished 3 Christmas blocks, 1 rainbow block and a bunch of my Bleeker Street quilt. And yes, this month went far too quickly because I don’t think I got any kitties finished. Shame on me!!!!
Oh dear, my tally is zilch…………….. I’m not saying I’ve done nothing in between the retreat – 5 days away, a trip to Sydney – 8 days away & various other bits & bobs for car club etc. I’ve only 1 row of blocks left on the mystery case quilt & I also made 3 blocks for one of my own designs plus drawing up 3 on Quilt Wizard for another jelly roll twosome & stash busting quilts. Hopefully I’ll have something to show for next month. Oh, I forgot the bookcase quilt that was on the machine, as the binding is nearly done, so that will definitely be for July FS. I’ll ring before you go. Take care.
You sure have had a productive month Joy, and it’s lovely to see your projects – and your finishes from quilts started long ago! I’ve nothing to link up this month which I hope to remedy next month!!
No finishes here but slow and steady progress. Love all yours Joy. Safe travels and I look forward to following your adventures xx
I finished my Village quilt that was started at retreat in November!! Love finally having it finished.
I’m very impressed. I especially like the tree wallhanging. So cute!
