And four more UFOs makes it 10 in total done for the month so far….. I’m halfway there!
The first one I finished was this little wallhanging:
Tried to be artistic and get one of the gorgeous doggies in the pic 🙂 I’ll get DH to hang it on the wall in the apartment when we get home again.
This was one that DD started as a birthday present for me many, many years ago when she was little, and never finished:
I think they were charm squares that Alice gave her, full of purple, their favorite color!
Next one is also one of DD’s UFOs – I think we were going to do some stitchery in the white squares… I just enveloped it and finished it:
It will go in the suitcase to take to Oz when I next head back and the kitty or bunny can have it 🙂
Finally this little pincushion, it just needed stuffing and buttons (I had to go shopping… sigh…):
It’s actually a good one to have finished because I don’t seem to have any pincushions here, except for my favorite thumb pincushions. So I put it to use right away.
Here is my updated list:
The best part of making lists is crossing things off, don’t you think?
Sounds like you have a goal set and are already accomplishing a lot of it. Good for you! Today, I am working on some Christmas pillow panels that I will make into wall hangings. I’m doing a huge Christmas show in October and need to be able to decorate my booth and will be using them there. I am doing the show with our fireplace lamps hubby and I make and will have quilted runners under them. I’m busy, busy, busy!!! Sounds like you have lots to do too, Joy!
Love your finishes Joy. I need a plan like yours or maybe i could send my ufo’s to you. 🙂 🙂 Hugs,xx
You are making good progress, and I am trying to finish things for our exhibition during free weekends. Another Mystery retreat to cook and plan for next weekend, as well as a special visitor during the week. It’s all good.
Nice finishes…… So how many does that make for the year?
Nice job! I LOVE crossing things off my list. As a matter of fact, I’ll be doing just that in about 10 minutes!! Yippee!! So your ‘retreat’ is going well?
Hi Joy awesome finishes, well done you sure are on a roll my friend xx
Doing well Joy….. that’s a big goal for this month!
Hugz
Way to go with the finishes! I think I am making more ufos than I am finishing! I keep finding more all the time (especially since I have decided to stay put and I am slowly bringing things back in from the shed!)
Well done. I’m trying to catch up, but don’t think I’m doing as well as you, though I’ve just put 3 tiny ones on the end of the backing for the mystery case quilt, so maybe I can get a few done this month. Hope you get plenty more ticked off that list. Take care.
Congrats!!! You are doing awesome. I think you will make your goal for sure!! That is going to be one happy bunny or kitty!!
Your shorter to-do list is looking good and your done list is looking even better!! Lovely finishes – how good to get those projects done that have been sitting waiting for their finishing stitches 🙂
Wow! You are really cookin’ and putting me to shame! I’d better get off the computer and over to the sewing machine.
Hi Joy, Congrats on the progress with your UFO’s this month, The little Wall Hanging is my favourite. And Congrats to Beth on her lovely Butterfly embroidery, I betcha loads of people download that freebie!!!!!! Spotlight had 30% off storewide last week so I decided to go grab some acrylic yarn. There was plenty of stock so I headed over to the fabric department first, not intending to buy anything, just for a browse, you know how it is!!!!!!! I headed for the ‘bargains’ table and spotted two upholstery fabrics I just had to have. Then I spotted some (cat themed) heavy weight cotton, Yep, gotta have some of that. $100 later I marched triumphantly out of the store with two bags of fabric. Half way home I realised I hadn’t bought any yarn. Doh!!!!!!!.
