And Three More UFOs Bite the Dust

…… although the dust did get cleaned off the outdoor table before I put these UFOs down and took photos 🙂 I almost got four done, but I had to do some unpicking – shock, horror – something I rarely do… unless it is totally necessary, and this was. I’ve been enveloping some of my UFOs and with this one I had to unpick because I put the backing the wrong way. Sadly it wasn’t one of those fabrics that look good on both sides, so off it went. I’ll get it finished tomorrow.
I didn’t make any mistakes with the other three table runners I finished. The one above and the one below were ones I quilted on Emmie G back in Oz, and just needed binding. Of course I used decorative stitching to finish them off 🙂 They will be up for sale next month when I start doing the craft market rounds.
The third runner is a Christmas one made of 5 minute blocks from this book (not an affiliate link). It’s also a class sample, so now that it is done I can schedule a class… It’s a fun technique, and is quite easy. After I teach that, I’ll be teaching the 10 minute block class.. also fun!
Well, that’s it for now… tomorrow I need to keep working.. finish that other runner, and then find some more UFOs to finish! I’m nicely on track to reach my goal for the month!
Love your finishes Joy. Hugs,xx
well done Joy, the list is depleting and you have great runners to show for it…
Hugz
Well done!!! Unpicking 1 out of 4 is not bad at all.
I did so much unpicking that I did not finish. If not for white on white background fabric, I would do a lot less unpicking!! I need to find out where my 5 minute runner is. Hmmmmm???
Great finished, and sad about the unpicking, you have just reminded me about that pattern for your class!!
Hi Joy wow these runners look fantastic and your class one is awesome, well done my friend, your stall will be well stocked xx
Good on you Joy ticking another three off the list! I’m sure these will go down well at the craft markets 🙂
Well done you. I don’t think I’m on track for this month at all, though binding is on mystery quilt & being handsewn of a night. Miss our phone chats, so hurry up November, & we’ll have lots of show & tell. hope the classes go well & take care.
You are certainly steaming ahead with finishing the UFOs! BTW I did receive the newsletter the other day, so I guess I am signed up.
That is an impressive attack on your UFO pile! I do need to do something about mine….. Two things newbie quilters think will never happen to them…. a huge stash and an equally huge pile of UFOs. And then one day you wake up and you are “one of them”!! haha I even have UFOs that are so ridiculously close to finished they only need binding and/or labels! Thanks for the nudge!
