A Little DMC Shopping Spree

There’s a shop that has been here since our first stint in 2002. I wasn’t a quilter back then, but I did go and check it out. 15 years later it is still there and has all the DMC threads you could desire! Since I already bought most of the colors at a different shop, the reason I needed to go there yesterday was to buy the boxes to put the threads in… it is the only shop in the country, as far as I know, that sells them.
When you see something here in the shops that you want, you need to buy it. You can’t say, I’ll buy one, and get another next week… because you could come back next week and it’s gone. For good. Or for a very long time. There were four DMC thread boxes on the shelves – I took them all 🙂
When I got home, I noticed one of them was broken…
I could take it back and they would refund me the money… but if they don’t have any more in stock it means I am one box down. So I am keeping it because I need it…
Of course I picked up a few other things as you can see in the first pic. I NEEDED some pinking sheers, so I got them. They had my favorite hoops, so they came home too..
And little embroidery scissors are always handy, right?!
The DMC Perle threads are for a free workshop Nora and I are hosting at the shop…. it was dark inside the DMC shop, so when I got home I discovered that instead of four  whites, I had an assortment of white and cream 🙂
Oh well… I’m sure I’ll use them sometime!
It’s weekend here.. I need to prepare for the workshop on Sunday… I wonder if the doggies can help?
Who us?
Hmmm… maybe not… 🙂
Have a great weekend everyone!
I love pink–so I love your purchases!!! I find that cracked boxes work just as well as those that aren’t–as some of mine got cracked in my move!!!
love the photos of the doggies–you are going to miss them when their owners come back (maybe not the dog hair!!)
enjoy the moments, di
Looks like you behaved yourself quite well. Sounds like a fun shop.
If you get desperate for more boxes let me know–I can send you some.
The babies look like you have worn them out. They are so cute!!
You have eat to many threads if you need that many containers…… Lol
Goodluck getting them all sorted…..
I don’t think I realised shopping could be such a pain over there. Interesting lot of goodies & am wondering what they will produce. Have a lovely weekend & take care.
Love your goodies. It doesn’t seem like the dogs want to help you does it. 🙂 :). My cats are just as helpful. lol Have a great weekend. Hugs,xx
so now yoiu need to get winding and put all your threads away – hope you have the little cardboard goodies for them! It’s so handy having them set up in those – easy to see….
Hugz

I have a few of those boxes and they are great. I would buy more if I ever saw them! I can never resist buying pretty threads when I see them – and they do seem to eventually get used up. Have a great class!
Nice to go shopping and exploring – a shame about the box but it is still useable I guess. I hope your workshop goes well – I look forward to seeing what you do 🙂
I hope I can now comment as I only could read your news before. Love to read your chat. I’m going to Bordertown in 2 weeks for a PINK WEEKEND. RAYLENE
