Yep, that’s me! I unpacked from dog sitting and straight away packed up to fly out of Arabia!
This time I am off to Europe for a family reunion, but today I am only flying to Dubai.
The good thing about travelling a lot is that I have enough frequent flyer points to get access to the airport lounge…
The chairs are pretty comfy, and you can make your own cuppa….
Pretty good food too if you left home early and didn’t have time for brecky…
View from the plane on the way to Dubai is a bit like this:
Not much to see!
Once in Dubai it is skyscrapers everywhere… Â Tomorrow morning I’ll go to the airport and pick DD up, and then we’ll stay one more night before we head back on the plane to Holland.
Our hotel is close to a metro station just in case we want to go for a wander…
Hot and humid is what Dubai is like at this time of the year. When we come back in October, it should have cooled down a little.
My suitcase is fairly empty, but I did bring something to do while we are wandering around:
When I get to Holland I’ll buy some thicker yarn to crochet around the edges I think. The one pictured is a bit thin.
I’m not sure how many circles I cut out, but there are a fair few. Hopefully by the end of my trip I’ll have turned them all into crocheted yoyos!
Got a little kitchenette in our room, so I’m off to make a cuppa!
I love Holland! Hubby worked there a month in the mid-1980’s. I flew over for 10-days in October. Hubby stayed in Enschede a while then once I got there we stayed in Eibergen. Still have friends there in Overdinkel. I spend my 10-days mostly touring all the sites- Rotterdam, The Hague, North Sea, Madurodam while hubby worked for a dutch company in Enachede. What a wonderful trip. I had a beautiful windowgate, but unfortunately it got broken. J still gave a lot of delft china I cherish.
Professional traveller you are…. Have a great time with your daughter and family…..
Have a wonderful time in Holland. I’m looking forward to reading about you adventures there. Hugs,xx
I remembered after I left my comment, where you were off to, but didn’t realise it was for a month. Have a lovely time with DD, your parents & extended family in Holland & hope you get a little time to post about your adventures. It snowed in Ballarat yesterday & we may get some on the higher hills around here today. It’s freezing with this cold wind blowing.
Enjoy, take care & huggles to all.
My goodness girl–I think you were born with a pair of wings on your back!!!
I have always wanted to go to Holland, Finland and Norway–
so enjoy for me toooo–
enjoy the moments, di
Hot and humid over there, and freezing cold and wet here, not very spring like at all. Have a good trip, you certainly are a seasoned traveller, not like me, who has never been out of the country, yet!
Have a good time…..
