Welcome to the 2nd Day of Last Minute Christmas Gifts! Today I am sharing another very quick project, a Quick and Easy Needlecase Tutorial by Fiona from BubzRugz..
I’ve made a bunch of these over the years too… and use them myself because I am constantly losing them… but they are also great for gifts!
I used Fiona’s tutorial, but made a few changes…
To start with, Fiona stitched her needlecases by hand on the outside.. but I was lazy and used the machine 🙂
I do like the hand stitched look though, and will do that one day depending on the fabric I choose.. I am thinking a nice embroidery thread hand stitched would look nice too… don’t you think?
On the inside, I decided to cut my felt with pinking shears…
…just because I like the look…
Again, it probably depends on the fabric I am using…
This project also takes less than an hour to make, and it’s great for using scraps.. Like Fiona says in her tutorial, you can really use any size fabric you want…
So, go check out Fiona’s quick needlebook tutorial and make a few before Christmas!!
PS These would make great stocking stuffers!

What a great gift idea Joy… and yes, to handstitch this item would be lovely.
I’ve certainly made a few of these over the years, but have 2 in constant use. One I made as part of a set in the 2000s & the other in 3rd class at primary school as a child aged about 8. It’s done well.
Hi Joy what a great idea and these are always so handy to have, thankyou for sharing xx
xx…. I must make more…

OK, those are quick enough that I should be able to make some!! Love that fabric!
I like the pinked edges, too. A great little gift. Pinning.
