Welcome to the 11th Day of Last Minute Christmas Gifts! Today’s little project is so simple… Lacy Tealight Jars…
I was around at my friend Robyn’s the other day, and saw these little jars with lace and a ribbon around them, and thought – what a great idea! I mean, it’s even more simple than making a crochet cover and putting a tealight in a jar…
What you need to make Lacy Tealight Jars:
- Jars
- Pretty lace
- Ribbon
- Glue (pva or glue gun)
- Tealights – real or LED
How to make Lacy Tealight Jars:
Cut the lace big enough to go around your chosen jar, overlap a bit and glue:
With the jar above, the lace is overlapped nice and neat with the squares in the same place… depending on the lace you use you might not be able to match the pattern, but it will look nice in any case…
If the shape of your jar allows, you can tie a pretty ribbon around the top….
Pop a tealight inside… these are the old fashioned candle ones…
But you can also get LED if you don’t want to have a real flame…
It looks so pretty when it is lit…
Now I have heaps of lace.. but no jars here in Oz! I’ll have to make some of these when I get back to Arabia… they don’t just have to be for Christmas do they?
