  2. You are making me exhausted. I will take going to work too much, way ahead of all of that traveling. Hope you feel better and get some sewing done before you have to start packing up again!!

  3. Oh you poor thing Santa better bring you double next year! I applaude your courage in all those moves! Hope it all goes smoothly for you. I agree those floor tiles are something else……gorgeous! Take care Joy. Hope you are on the mend now. Happy New Year xxx

  4. Happy New year to you too, and I think maybe glasses would be a good idea
to read your blog, as I went looking for a “tied” quilt on the floor, and then realise it said tiled quilt!!

  5. hope you are all better now just jet lagged………….OMG the price may not always be right…………LOVE those tiles……………..goodluck moving AGAIN…………

  6. Sadly airplane travel is not so glamorous as it sounds… unless maybe in business class (not that I would know)…. hope you are feeling a bit better and ready to pack those boxes…

  7. Having only flown flights of 8 hours or less I’ve yet to experience jetlag, but I often end up with a respiratory type infection after flying, a real downer for sure. Netflix is really good for binge watching, so handy for when you are not feeling the best. Love the tiled quilts, I think I would have been a lot of my meal time looking at the floor.

  8. My brother flew China Southern. He said the terminal had nil aircon so it was sweltering, he also reckoned the cold water in the water fountain was only a couple of degrees cooler than the hot water. So didn’t help to quench his thirst. Best stick with Emirates!

  9. Yup. They are definitely chameleons! Some of them are chameleons pretending to be flowers. Very clever! 🙂 Thanks Joy, very sweet of you! “Jetsetting” is certainly only glamourous in thought, not in deed! We always stick to the pricey airlines for sanity’s sake and it’s still almost always awful in some regard. Good luck with the moving, big job! I know you have a huge year lined up for your blog, so you should be able to take your own advice on moving with ease (which is a very funny post by the way, especially for someone who has also moved too many times…..). xx

  10. Happy New Year & hope you are feeling better. I’m on blog reading catch up & hadn’t realised you weren’t flying your usual airline, but being in Dubai soon, you could fly with Royal Brunei, who we find really good. Just a thought. DS1 looks very dapper in that photo. Take care.

  11. For such a traveller it’s a shame you suffer from jetlag so much! I know I love flying Emirates (for the small amount of travelling I do) – there are so many stories of bad experiences with the El Cheapo ones for me to brave them! Hope you are feeling better. Wow, that is a lot of moves in your married life – you sure would have seen a lot of different things that’s for sure. How proud you would have been to be at your son(s)’s graduation – don’t they all grow up so fast?

  12. Sorry that you were ill over Christmas – not much fun! You certainly do travel a lot. How many hours is it from Australia to UAE? I was interested to hear about your flying experience. When we went to Australia a few years ago I considered booking with South China Airlines because they were cheaper than the others. In the end we went with Quantas and the flight was great both ways. But we had to go to Los Angeles first and that part of the trip was a real adventure. I think if we go again we will fly direct from Vancouver and use Air Canada -even though I hate that airline! Glad to hear you are home safe and where are you moving to next?
