Welcome to the first Finishing Stitches of the year! Remember this year we are working on our UFOs bit by bit until they are finished! So if you have done anything at all on a UFO this month, you can join in on this challenge…
I have done a bit…like sorting which UFOs I am going to tackle first.. and then finishing this sweet little apron:
The other UFOs I sorted have been packed in suitcases to work on in February… and hopefully I will have plenty of time over there! Although we will be house hunting, and trying to get to know our way around a new country… but still, I NEED to sew, right? Right.
So that is my UFO update for this month… 1 down, 86 to go for this year’s goal...
Your turn! Have you worked on any of your UFOs this month?
Share your link below… Please link to a POST, not to your website, so that we can see the projects that you have been working on. If you have already posted about what you have worked on this month, then link to that post (or posts). If you haven’t written about it yet, then write a new post and link to that one. Does that make sense?! I hope so! If not, just ask!
Does a huge basket of mending qualify as a UFO?. The basket was full of repairs ranging from patches on men’s jeans and shorts, insertion of a new zip in my sons good shorts, repair of jumpers etc, etc. it took all day but the basket is empty and I sure feel good. Now it’s back to my quilt! X

Lovely apron…..I think there is a lot of ufoing going on in blogland lol!
Great apron…smooth moving wishes (if that’s thing) 😊
Oh, yes, you need to sew, even when house hunting. I’ve finished taking up the sleeves on two lined blazers – I’ve taken so long doing them, the owner had totally forgotten all about them. It’s so good to have them finished. Didn’t stop for even one photo, so no blog post. Hope all goes well with the move.
Yes, I know you need to sew, just like me, to ease all that stress. I’ve done so little this month, though I have used Bubs & am doing the bindings on those two now. I’ll try and get a post done for February with whatever finished I’ve done for the first couple of months. Love that little apron. Good luck with the house hunting & am wondering when you are next back in Oz. Take care.
