‘Tis an amazing thing.. I remembered to join in with Friday Night Sew In, hosted by the lovely Wendy, for the second time in a row!
It wasn’t a very productive sewing night though…
I thought I’d make a little basket or two, and did manage to cut out all the pieces for a few:
(Used my new rulers and cutting board – love them all!)
But when I went to sew them together, I didn’t get very far…
It turns out the chair is very low.. and the table very high, and so like I mentioned in my newsletter, Nina’s tray table almost reaches my chin! Even sewing those few patches together gave me sore shoulders, neck and back… I decided until I get a better chair and/or table I would go back to my crochet…
That at least is progressing nicely… I finished the first ball of yarn and started on the second…
Today I went shopping.. but I will leave that for the next post since it is past my bedtime! Go and check out what everyone else did for FNSI over here:
lovely work my friend, love the colour fabric you are using, hope you have a lovely day my friend xx
Love your little crochet! I’ve never used yarn like that, and it’s gorgeous!!
Love your crochet. That yarn is so pretty. Hugs,xx
Good idea to switch on over to crocheting. No sense sewing if it hurts. Love the colors in your yarn!
I’ve just caught up on your posts & do commiserate about chair/table heights. I’ve an OT trying to sort me out so I don’t get so sore. Love the crochet & my Mum used that pattern quite a lot & I always thought it looked difficult. Been away so that is why I’m catching up. Take care.
No point injuring yourself. I do love your pretty crochet….beautiful!
Shopping for a new chair??????????? Your baskets are going to be pretty!!
Looks like you’ve been busy Joy! Get that chair sorted out so we can see what you’re making xxx
Even all the cutting out is a great start. Love the colours in the crochet 😊
Nice that you had another craft to turn to when you were stalled with one! Hope it doesn’t take you too long to sort out the table/chair situation 🙂
