A while ago I came across Sarah’s Confessions of a Fabric Addict blog, and started joining in on her Whoop, Whoop link party… When she posted about her yearly H2H Charity Quilt Challenge, I thought since I am in quilt group limbo at the moment, it would be fun to join in with other online quilters to make charity quilts…
It is the 8th year this challenge is being held, and so far all those involved have made just over 1000 quilts for charity – that’s pretty cool! There is still time to join up and you can find out more details here..
It’s a crazy time for me to join in on something like this, with all the travelling I’ve been doing, but I thought I would try anyway.
I am so excited because I get to do a guest post on Sarah’s blog in May… and I am hoping I will get a few quilts made to give away for the challenge…
My heart is going out to those in Australia who have lost their homes to bush fires recently… I have made quilts before for bush fire victims, so maybe this year that is where my quilts can go.. let’s see… otherwise I will find somewhere local in Dubai. First though I need to make some quilts 🙂
I think I have at least one UFO that could become a quilt for this challenge, and a few ideas for others. I will need to get busy…
In other news….
I am back in Dubai.. but only for a few days.. I’ll be back tomorrow to tell you about a new adventure for the Travelling Quilter…
In the meantime, please go check out the H2H challenge and consider joining in!
