In amongst all the sight seeing we managed to fit in two quilt shops 🙂
Of course 🙂
I mean really, what is the use of a quilter going to the US if she can’t go to lots of quilt shops????
Right?
Right 🙂
First shop was called Candy’s Quilting…
There was lots of lovely fabric of course…
All very bright and modern…
Some lovely quilts hanging up…
This log cabin was a nice variation made with different strip widths:
The girls there were very friendly and helpful… one of them was using her time wisely, making hexies…
I was on the hunt for precut or kits, so I didn’t buy much at this shop… just a few odds and ends…
Couldn’t resist the pink candy cane fat quarter… and the Cupcake Mix Recipe packs look interesting- got one each for Alice and myself…
The Matchbox Quilt from Moda is a mini quilt kit that finishes at 6”…
It’s basically a panel, but they included the floss for hand quilting and the batting..
I thought it would make a nice little travel project!
Well, that’s it for this post.. next quilt shop is Gotham Quilts…. which did have precuts and kits… so I did a bit more damage there….. 🙂
Absolutely no point in getting to the US if you don’t sample some quilt shops!! lol. Enjoy!
Of course you have to go to quilt shops! What fun! Nancy
Oh oh oh! lovely shop & purchases Joy!
I’ve heard Gotham Quilts is amazing.
I was getting worried there…hadn’t heard anything about quilt shops. The matchbox quilt looks fun, maybe with my granddaughter if I can find lefty cutting scissors.
It is next to impossible to find lefty school scissors in blunt point, since they can’t use the sharp point until 3rd grade.
