I can’t remember the last time I just sewed for a whole day… it’s been a while 🙂
And of course it’s been a very long time since Alice and I sewed together.. but it didn’t take too long to get in the swing of things…
After some discussion about how we “should do this” or “should do that” we decided to start something new… 🙂
Alice always finds cool things to work on, and this cute bunny wallhanging was the choice of the day…
The longest time was spent trying to “randomly” arrange the 2 1/2” squares!
A little while after we started sewing, LOLA came to play!!!
Some of you will know her from her blog “And Sew On”.. she hasn’t blogged for a while, but we have been blog friends from my early days of blogging…
Oh, we had so much fun! Lola kept us in stitches, she is sooooo funny! And so sweet!!
We were too busy sewing to take a pic of all three of us, but she is coming back on Monday and we will do it then.. in the meantime, you’ll have to believe me that us three were together all day…
Lola brought some morning tea that her hubby made…
She has a very clever hubby! It was the first pound cake I had eaten and it was yummy… I am hoping her hubby will bake something else for us on Monday.. mind you, I think this cake will last us all week 🙂
Oh, see the cute kitty mug? That was another pressie waiting for me when I arrived…
I’ve been using it lots since I got here… Alice’s DH pulled the kettle out of the cupboard just for me to have lots of cups of tea 🙂
Ok, back to bunnies… chain sewing went quickly…
And there was plenty of space for the bunny appliqué…
At this stage Lola decided to play too, so while she caught up, I caught up on the blocks Alice has been working on this year for the rainbow scrap challenge…
There are my purple blocks next to Alice’s green ones… now I am only two months behind….
Today we are going on a road trip to meet up with another friend and are hoping to visit a few more quilt shops… 🙂
Thanks so much for joining me on this exciting adventure! I am slowly answering your comments but haven’t had time for blog reading.. promise I will catch up soon!
Ohhh–how I wished I could of been there too–but then the sewing room would of been too crowded-sooo!!! I love the bunny quilt you are all working on and I just might have to make me one too–I got some mini charm packs and that would work out perfectly–
glad you are keeping us informed–love hearing about all your adventures!!
Happy Easter-di
Happy to hear you’e having so much fun. Answering blog comments is not required when you’re on vacation. Stitch on. And Laugh on. And eat on!!
What a fun day. Bunny is so cute and I’m glad you have jumped on the Squared Away band wagon. Your purples look good and knowing you, you’ll have the others caught up in no time. The kitty mug is too cute. Perfect for lots of tea. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure.
