A bit more of Mexico….

Poor Mexico, didn’t get as many blog posts as the US… and really, I could have written more, but the more “real Mexican” stuff as opposed to “resort stuff” that happened was at night and the pictures turned out terrible…
We got to see some traditional Mexican dancing, and some other odds and ends, but really, it was just 4 days of relaxing and a few official dinners to attend.
The resort did an awesome job catering for just over 600 people!
For the official dinners the tables were laid out just beautifully….
The first night was a more casual BBQ, and each table had these lovely traditional Mexican table runners:
On the first night there was also a little market, and we were given some “money” to go and spend 🙂
They had tables with jewelry, hats, bags, cushion covers, pottery and more…
I loved all the bags… so much so that I got three…
I also got a little crockery nibbles holder that night, and then at the airport I found a cute drawstring bag, keychain and thimble..
I’ll have to take a pic of all the new thimbles I managed to find on this last trip…
…. and a better pic of the thimble above… it is ceramic and so very cute!
Well, I am currently trying to unpack my cases and then I need to tackle the boxes that came from Arabia… but tomorrow I am planning on setting Nina up and doing at least a bit of sewing…
I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to all of you for joining me on the awesome adventure I had these past two weeks!
Now that I have had a small taste of the US, I can’t wait to go back!
Sorry I wasn’t able to meet up with you, but you obviously had every minute planned and packed with fun stuff! I’m glad it was such a good trip, and you’re planning to come back some day.
You will be able to “pretend” you are still there with me on my blog posts next week, did I just say next week!! Yikes, better get busy. Catch ya then.
What a fabulous time you have had over the last month or so. Netherlands, USA, Mexico wow!!!
Loved sharing your trip thru your blog. It all sounded so wonderful and I loved all the purchases you made. X
Somehow i’ve missed a few of your blog posts. But i’ve now read them all & have really enjoyed following you about on your holiday. Hugs,xx
Traveling is always fun–well for the most part–sometimes airports and layovers aren’t easy to swallow–but seeing new sites and going new places and meeting new people and even trying new foods–is alot of fun–
but if you are like me–it is always sooo good to get back home and back to life as we know it—
enjoy, di

Really enjoyed tripping around the world with you , meeting some of your friends and seeing all the wonderful things you purchased too.
I think I would have bought a few of those bags too. Super cool! You definitely needed the relaxing with all the rearranging you have to do now. I am going to try to sew with you this weekend!! Fingers crossed!!!!!
It does sound like a wonderful two weeks – thanks you for sharing it with us! Mexico sounds like a fun and colourful place.
The trip of a lifetime I’d say. Now after all that, you need to get organised, so you can sew. Take care.
