Yay! Just caught up on all the comments! And now I am moving on to blogs…. got a bit of catching up to do! Thanks again for coming with me “virtually” on my wonderful trip – I appreciate each and every comment 🙂 It made my trip more special to have you all along for the ride!
I’m pretty excited today… this afternoon I am finally getting some furniture delivered…
A desk – to set Nina up on
Bookshelves – for fabric of course
Tub thingos – for sewing stuff of course
And a wardrobe – for fabric and sewing stuff of course.. oh, and some clothes 🙂 Yes, I own some clothes….
But first, before they come to deliver, I need to move all of this stuff:
… to the other side of the bed…
That is DH’s side… he is off travelling this week and I am determined to get it all unpacked and organized by the time he gets back.
Oh.. what is that you say? You spotted a sewing machine on the table that isn’t Nina???
Yes… well….
I accidentally bought another second hand sewing machine.
Don’t ask.
It’s a long story…
Her name is Nettie and she is a Bernette 15:
More about her another day.. don’t worry, she has a purpose 🙂
On another note, I forgot to tell you that I almost “visited” Di on the way home from Mexico… well, at least I waved to her on the plane, because we changed planes at Fort Lauderdale, in Florida…
Now I don’t know where Di lives exactly, but I did see a pier from the window of the plane…
It could very well be the pier Di goes to regularly, don’t you think? Di said she saw some flapping up in the air… well that was me waving 🙂
Ok, better go get ready for the furniture to arrive…. hopefully in a few days I will have a nice organized sewing corner to show “ya’ll”!
That is great that your new furniture is arriving! You will be sewing up a storm soon! A new Bernette sewing machine! Is that so you can sew twice as much! If so, I need three or four of them! Love that quilt on your bed! i can’t keep track of you! What country are you in now! Have a wonderful day. Raining here! Nancy
Look forward to seeing your sewing space when you set it up with both Nina and Nettie…
LOL could have been Di’s pier. She lives in Melbourne Florida. I always remember that because of Melbourne here in Aussie…
Sorry that wasn’t my pier–mine is short and is on a river, and not the ocean unfortunately–Ft Lauderdale is about 3hours south of me–or so–just above Miami–I am straight up that coast though–if you had had a long lay over for the next plane we might have been able to have had lunch or dinner or whatever–next time!!!
It will be fun for you to get your sewing area all set up and then we will be expecting some great sewing things coming from you (not to add any pressure to your life though!!!!???)
enjoy, di
What a fun post and what a lovely time you had travelling. Glad to hear you got “home” safely.
You will get it all done; I am sure of it!!! Then when you come back to visit, could you help me rearrange the stuff on my IKEA shelves. I don’t have room for more shelves, so there has to be a better way to get it all on the shelves I have. Scratch that–we just need to do a lot more sewing!!!
Hmmm i did wonder about that machine. 😊😊. Glad you are home safe & sound. Have fun with your unpacking. Hugs, xx
What a wonderful trip you had…enjoyed tagging along! Good work on your new furniture arriving xx
One busy girl I’d say. Thanks for my replies. Look forward to seeing your sewing area set up. Take care.
You’ll soon be well settled in there…
Hugz
Bit by bit making it more like home – hope you have fun creating ‘your’ space 🙂
Lovely bright sewing corner. Done yet??? I am sure ya’ll are all settled in. Nettie looks right at home.
Sure she will do her share to earn her keep.
Ain’t that a pretty quilt on the bed too!!
Would you believe we got chilly again!!! Crazy weather continues round here!
Glad you are getting organised, will be good. We flew over Mexico, but could not see out the window.
