I have some very talented friends who were kind enough to bring some of their quilts and other projects to the retreat for show and tell! It was like having a mini quilt show… 🙂
First up was Susan from Granny Smith’s Quilting…. Susan has great fun designing her own quilts and comes up with the most amazing names… all of which I have forgotten, but you can go to her blog to find some of them! These are the quilts she brought with her to show me:
That’s a pretty amazing variety of designs and fabrics, isn’t it? Susan has been quilting and designing for a very long time 🙂
The other mini show was from Dione from Clever Chameleon Quilting… She brought her Beary Colorful Bears to show us…
Dione designed these bears and they are a free block of the month on her blog. You can still download them if you don’t have them yet, so go check them out!
She also designed these cuties:
Aren’t they gorgeous! Such a clever lady!
Then there was this quilt inspired by her trip to Vanuatu:
And last but by no means least, this gorgeous one:
This last one was in the Adelaide quilt show and Dione won a first prize blue ribbon for it!!! Go check out her post and see the other quilts she also got prizes for! Her pictures are better than mine!!
It was lovely to see all these quilts in real life… some of them I had already seen on Susan & Dione’s blogs, but it is much better in real life.
Oh, Susan also brought this beautiful crochet blanket she is working on to show me:
I just love those flowers on the edge!!
Well, hope you enjoyed the mini quilt show as much as I did! And I hope you are all having a lovely relaxing weekend!
Whoops, didn’t realise they were going on here. Thank you. Didn’t Dione do well at the show, along with Judy, Pat & the other Bordertown ladies. Think I may have to get one of her owl patterns & try it, seeing I adore those birds. Have a lovely week & take care.
Lovely to see sew and tell, I love seeing what other people come up with – a lot of talent..
Hugz
Wow! They are all so pretty. The turtle quilt is amazing. I need more hours in a day please!!
Fabulous quilts in your show & tell. Love the crochet rug. Hugs, xx
How wonderful to show and tell a quilt show! The last one you pictured was a show-stopper!!!
The crochet blanket is so sweet-love that edging is right!
Oh boy what a treat…beautiful quilts and very clever ladies….thanks for sharing the eye candy Joy xx
So many beautiful quilts! You are having a ball! How many hours a day do you sew? I have been spending a lot of time lately practicing piano duets with a friend. We have to play for an hour at a senior facility July 17th. That is a lot of duets to learn so is taking my spare time right now. Nancy
