Welcome to the first day of the 12 Days of Christmas in July Blog Hop!
This fun blog hop is hosted by the lovely Sarah from Confessions of a Fabric Addict!
There are two of us sharing Christmas goodies today, myself and Selina from Selina Quilts, so be sure to head over to her blog to see what she has for us!
For this blog hop I thought I’d share some quick and easy gifts that you can make for Christmas… including these cute little Christmas pouches:
But first I want to take you on a quick visit to Gail’s Patchwork Emporium where it really feels like Christmas in July!
Going to Gail’s is always lovely, but I especially love seeing all her Christmas decorations up…
She just got in some new Christmas fabric and precuts…
So much to choose from!
I “only” came home with a few precuts, including these two:
I used a few of the blocks from the layer cake to make my little Christmas pouches….
I just love this collection from Moda! It’s so cute!
The pouches are based on my Little Teabag Pouches Tutorial… and since I love to have everything Christmassy around Christmas time, I thought it’d be nice to make a few teabag pouches in Christmas fabrics…
Now of course they don’t need to just be for teabags.. these handy little pouches are really quick to make and you can put all sorts of little goodies and pressies in them… I’m thinking jewelry, gift vouchers, or even some Christmas choccies…
The pouches are quite small, only about 4″ by 2.5″, but you can of course make as them any size using the tutorial as a guide…
This pouch tutorial was part of a series I did last December called The 12 Days of Last Minute Christmas Gifts! You can check out that page for more Christmas Gifts Ideas like these coasters:
Soup bowl cozies:
Gorgeous ornaments:
And probably the quickest gift of all, these cute paper dolls (just print them out!):
Click on any of the pictures above to go to the tutorials for each quick and easy gift!
Thanks so much for dropping by for the first day of this fun blog hop! I hope you got some inspiration and get a chance to make some of the little Christmas pouches or other quick gifts I’ve mentioned!
The blog hop will of course last for 12 days… you can find the schedule at Sarah’s blog. Thank you Sarah for hosting this blog hop! I am looking forward to all the inspiration shared by everyone else..
OH! And before I forget, Sarah is also hosting a quiltalong, so be sure to check out her blog for all the info on that!
Thanks again for stopping by and I wish you all a Merry Christmas in July!
Thanks for sharing such fun ideas!!
Great ideas! Those little teabag size pouches would make great party favors and tablescape favors too! Thanks for participating on the hop!
So many sweet ideas for holiday sewing! The little pouches would certainly be handy for wrapping small gifts or treats and could be hung from the tree. Bowl cozies are one thing I’ve always wanted to make!
Love all of your great, Quick, ideas. The pouches would be perfect for gift cards and wouldn’t take any longer to whip together then using wrapping paper , ribbon and tape. Also need to update my soup bowls and matching coasters would be a great idea. Thanks
Thanks for sharing your ideas. It’s always nice to have a quick gift idea to make.
Thanks for all the cute ideas, especially since they are all quick and easy.
Gorgeous shop, I need to add to my bucket list. The little pouches are a great idea, so more personal than gift wrapping. X
What eye candy! Thank you! I hope to make the tea bags, microwave bowl covers and not sure about the coasters but they are pretty! I would like to make the mug rug with the tumbling blocks but I don’t have an Accuquilt. Do you? Can’t wait for the next one! Nancy
The bags are so festive. Great for small gifts. The other items are very nice as well.
Those are great quick gifts. Thanks for sharing them.
I love bowl cozies! I think I’ll try those little bags, too. Thanks!
You’ve certainly compiled a great array of gift ideas! I’m already adding these to my list of must-makes for this year! Thanks so much for getting us off to a great start, Joy!
Hi again Joy, Did you ever make that tea bag wallet you showed on the little bag tutorial into a tutorial? If so, I would sure like it to make it. Nancy

I may use your tutorial when I make up a tea basket as a fund raiser in October. There are baskets of all kinds made by women for a silent auction for the benefit of a sleep away camp for kids.
I am thinking of doing a tea basket. . .and there you are with a great tutorial.
Thank you.
