    1. Hi! Congratulations go to your son and to you for sticking with it! The shawl is so pretty. Quilting machine! Must be so nice to have one but you said you were packing for home so I am wondering why the quilting machine is not at home? I guess I will just give up trying to keep up to you and just enjoy your blogs wherever you happen to be! LOL Nancy

  2. Crotchet rug looks lovely. Now re the socks, it’s like falling off a horse, don’t leave it too long before the stitches are back on the needle.like your friend said at class, it might take a number (hopefully not 50) of goes but you will do it. Takes awhile to get use to the small needle and yarn size. When you knit a jumper next time you will think you are using crow bars. Xx

  3. I’m sure you are relieved not to be sitting in the car for so many hours – it’s good practice for a beginner driver though. I’m a bit away from beginner drivers now (our boys are in their mid-30’s) and I don’t know if the rules have changed, but at that time there certainly wasn’t any sort of log book like your son has been keeping. I think all new drivers should be required to drive so many miles before they are allowed to drive alone….and also have to watch a graphic film about the repercussions of driving while drunk. I think seeing that would make many of them think twice about drinking and driving. Sorry about the sock but I think we all go through a learning curve with those!

  4. Love the little quilt & glad Emmie G has had a workout. Congrats to DS. Your crochet rug is gorgeous, love the colours. Good luck with the sock knitting. Hugs,xx

  5. Well done on the driving goals. Must be so hard to be constantly packing up and tooing and froing. Your quilt on the machine is so cute. I love your beautiful Shell crochet. I am a hopeless knitter so you are streets ahead of me xx

  6. Glad you got some quilting done on Emmie G & your crochet rug is really pretty & well done. Maybe you’ll do socks well enough by the time you get back again, that you’ll be able to teach me.(lol). I’m useless!!!!! Take care & huggles. Safe travels & we’ll keep in touch by email.

  7. Wow! It’s funny that we are now both (for me at age 58) just learning to knit socks in the round with Mom saying it needs to be pulled out and redone. But I intend to persevere hoping it won’t take 50 tries. I’m being silly enough to try two socks at once. Youtube has been a big help.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I will reply via email as soon as I can!
