Welcome to Day 15 of 31 Days of Getting Organized!
I’m really enjoying all the emails that are flying back and forth this month! For those of you who comment, I finally got caught up with replying 🙂 Except for a few emails that bounced… so if you didn’t get a reply, I’m sorry, I did try…
Along with some of the emails, I’ve been receiving photos of how some of you organize your threads and rulers! A picture is worth a thousand words they say, and so I asked permission to share a few of these pics with the rest of you today…
Please click on the photos to go to the blogs of those who shared the pictures – some of them link to the main page, others link to an actual blog post 🙂
DMC Organization
First up is the amazing DMC Thread organizational system of Susan’s:
Susan has written a blog post about her system, and is happy to share her spreadsheets with us, so just let her know in her comment section if you would like a copy!
Wooden Toolbox
Next up is this mystery box that lives at Karrin’s house:
You need to click on the picture to see what is inside it!!!! It’s very cool 🙂
Cute Wooden Box
Another wooden box – a very cute one! It has a spot for ruler storage on the top, and then threads in the drawers.. It belongs to Jeanette:
Now that would be a pleasure to have in your sewing room, don’t you think?!
Thread Storage Stool
And last, but not least, you have to check out what is in this gorgeous stool that lives at another Susan’s house:
Susan from Super Mom No Cape also has a great post called “The Secret in Your Thread Spool”… now you didn’t know there was a secret in your thread spool, did you?! Better go check out that post too!!
If you have any pics you would like me to share with everyone, do email them to me 🙂 I’m sure we would all be interested in seeing them! The more ideas, the better 🙂
I really like all of these storage ideas – just wish I had room in my cramped little sewing space for something similar!
Hi Joy, I knew there was a little slit at the top of some spools that the thread is secured but didn’t know about the spool tops lifting up. That will really help me. Thanks. Have a good week. Nancy
Lots lovely storage ideas for your threads I’m afraid mine are just. Stored in a plastic thread keeper. 😚
Thanks for sharing about my Thread Storage Stool! And the link to my Thread Secrets post. Pinned and tweeted. 🙂
