It’s almost been a month since we moved and my sewing room still isn’t set up! I am starting to get the jitters… need to sew.. need to sew…. but there are just so many other things to do right now.
Today we are finishing up the old house where the kids were living and handing back the keys tomorrow morning… I’ll be so glad when that is all done.
I have been doing a bit of crochet…. with the weather so hot here, I have been freezing my water bottles again, and I needed some more covers…
I like to make the crochet covers so that the ice takes longer to melt and also absorbs the condense so that I don’t get water everywhere….
In other news I thought I’d share a pic of my Christmas present… specially for Dione from Clever Chameleon Quilting because she also got Lego for Christmas!
I got the fire station that goes with my Christmas/Winter Lego village that I have been collecting for many years now 🙂 Sadly the rest of the sets were packed away, so I didn’t get them out, but hopefully will get them set up next Christmas.
By the way, Dione has a cool new FREE BOM out this year again 🙂 Be sure to check it out!
Oh and yes, I will still be putting out a free bom too… starting in Feb… more on that later….
I’d better keep going…. hopefully I’ll get to my sewing room soon and have some pics for you…. till then, hope you are all doing some sewing!
Great water bottle cover Joy. I Wish you speedy sewing room setting up and happy 2019 xx
Wow….love the LEGO. Good luck with sewing room.
It all takes time to get organised, but it will happen. See you tomorrow with “blueberries”. Take care.
Cleaning up a house to give back the keys is the pits…. hope you get to put your feet up now….. looking forward to seeing some sewing from you! The crochet water covers look great…
Hugz
I don’t blame you for getting the jitters from sewing room withdrawal!
Hoping you get things done enough just to piece a bit to help!
I hope you soon get sorted and can get back to sewing. I completely understand being antsy when you can’t! Despite being a fan of Lego I wasn’t aware that they had that series – had to ‘do a google’ to find out more. Now I want them too!!!
Hope you get to sew soon. Love the crochet water bottle cover. Love the Lego. Hugs,xx
Great idea to crochet your own bottle covers, useful and pretty.
Those bottle covers are a great idea. I need to look to see if I can find that pattern. Hope you are getting closer and closer to being settled. Nancy
Gosh I’d be jittery too but all good things take time – it sounds like you have plenty on your plate right now. Hoep it doens’t take too much longer for you to get settled? Good idea with the bottle covers!
Oooh, love your Christmas Lego and the idea of adding to it every year, that is super. Very hot and humid here…. could do with some of those crochet bottle covers! Maybe I will have to learn. Thanks for the shoutout about the BOM. I hope we will be hearing from you again soon. xx
You are making me feel a wee tad better about my sewing room. I have managed to count part of my UFO’s and make a bigger mess in the process!
