Block 2 of the Gingerbread Village Free BOM is ready to download!
No thanks to my little fluffy quilting helper, I might add….
Why do you think she insists on sleeping on my WIPs?
I was cruel, and did move her this time, because she was keeping me away from this:
Poor Sapphy.. but don’t worry, she wasn’t too fussed… she was quite happy to help me get in the way, while I sewed up the block…
This month’s block is a really quick and easy one, with simple piecing and applique…..
…. and here are the two blocks for this block of the month so far…
You can go to the download page for Block 2. Since it is the beginning of the BOM, and people are still finding it, I thought I’d give everyone a bit more time to save the first block….. so I will keep it up for a couple more weeks before I take it down and put it in the membership.
Remember to send me a pic of your finished block! I’m going to feature them later in the month…
Also, don’t forget the fun Quilt Qwazy Queens Blog Hop that is on at the moment, with a great giveaway! My turn was yesterday… so go check that out, there are some crazy projects to see!

Super cute!!
How sweet the blocks look–the fabric choices are fairy tale beautiful!
Sweet! Thank you.
I’ll probably wait until I’ve embroidered more of the houses before I decide what colors to use for the patchwork blocks. Going to have to wait to do any piecing anyway since my shoulder still hasn’t healed sufficiently to use my rotary cutter, etc. 🙁
Thanks so much Joy for the new BOM!
Sapphy was definitely the right cat for your household with the way she is embracing all things fabric related (giggle). The blocks look lovely & I’d love to join, but have too many other things on the go. Maybe I should save the patterns for later in the year. Thanks & take care.
So cute. Both the block & Sapphy. Hugs,xx
Thank you, such a nice companion block. I wish I hadn’t used all my reindeer fabric already!
hi joy, love your gingerbread village blocks. nancy
Lovely blocks…. you have chosen perfect fabrics too.
Hugz
This second block is super sweet – and together, they look even more adorable. Thanks for the generosity of keeping the first block up this late!
