This year I’m taking part in a Mother’s Day Gift Guide… it’s the first time I’ve done this and I’m excited to be able to join in! There will be something for everyone in this guide… some are digital products, some are links to tutorials of projects that you still have time to sew as a gift between now and Mother’s day!
Often as mothers, we give and give to our families… and forget that we need some time to ourselves to read and create….
Sometimes we are far away from our families, and perhaps you will be alone on Mother’s Day – you may want to treat yourself to something in this gift guide.
Last year I was away from my children for Mother’s Day – DD was in Holland, and the boys were in Australia.
Since I was all on my ownsome, I treated myself to a year’s subscription of Bluprint (affiliate link*). I have to say I haven’t watched as much as I thought I would, but it is nice to be able to just watch whatever and whenever I want…
This year I’ll be away from the kids again for Mother’s Day, so maybe I’ll treat myself to one of the ebooks below 🙂 (BTW one of them is by DD and I!! I’m sure you can guess which one!)
Ebooks that are perfect for Mother’s Day:

As the stay-at-home mother of two daughters who have been home educated from the beginning of their school years, Phyllis has gained a lot of practical experience, which she shares throughout this book. In an effort to encourage others she has written extensively about the ways she and her husband worked to discipline and train their daughters to be women who love the Lord with all their hearts, souls, and minds. It is her hope that you will find helpful words of encouragement on everyday life as she visits with you and shares stories and ideas about parenting daughters. What others are saying:“What an intense selection of tips and Christian educational materials to teach their Christian daughters to become wonderful mothers and wives to their daughter or daughters.” Angela Get a copy to gift a mother/friend/sister in your life here.

In Spite of Myself: How Intentional Praise Can Transform Your Heart and Home by Katie Hornor
They say there are three things of utmost importance to human beings: health, love and money. And that the lack of one of those things is enough to throw your life into a storm. They also say that most marriages face only one major crisis, but if it comes early in your marriage, you may have another. While these sayings may or may not be true, Katie Hornor has had at least one crisis in each of those three areas. And as she’s learned to praise the Lord for his goodness both in and out of the storms, she’s began to see a pattern. Praise brought healing where there would have been anger and bitterness. Healing allowed her to share her story with others, giving them hope for God’s healing in their lives as well. Praise, Healing and Hope. Regardless of your story, There is only one who can heal your heart, teach it to praise and transform your heart and home. You will find him, and the power of his Truth presented in every page of this riveting 4-week Bible study. Get your copy here and go through the book with the free daily videos provided on the author’s website.
Quick Projects to Make in time for Mother’s Day:
These soup bowl cozies are so quick and easy to make! They’re perfect for a gift for Mother’s Day… I made these using a tutorial from Super Mom No Cape!
Fabric baskets are also quick and easy to make – the one pictured above is from Pink Penguin’s Tutorial. I’ve made sooo many of these!
Yes, there is still time to make a quilt as a gift for Mother’s Day! I made the star quilt above for my own mum a few years ago… I’ve made so many of these, the tops only take an hour to make. You can check out the tutorial here!
An easy drawstring bag… I made the one above from Threading My Way’s tutorial in our Sew Early 4 Christmas blog hop last year. Pam uses such an easy technique for the drawstring part – I’m not scared of making them anymore! The bag is actually to hold nail polish – so a perfect gift for Mother’s Day!
Last but not least, these super quick tea bag pouches take less than 5 minutes to make.. and are great for using up scraps!
Well, I hope you’ve found something in this Mother’s Day Gift Guide to give you a few ideas… I know Mother’s Day is still a month away, but it’s never to early to plan!
