On Monday, with boxes all around us, we had a little show-and-tell, and mini quilt show!
I think I already mentioned that Susan and her hubby were there and helped me with some of the unpacking… well of course Susan had brought some lovely things to show me!
This time it wasn’t only her show and tell – her hubby has been creative too! Not quilts, but woodwork…
Susan had sent me a picture of the little basket in the pic above, and I asked her to bring it here so I could see it in real life… it was so cute! The pen was something her hubby made for me! Pen on one side, and stylus on the other! I am using it a lot already 🙂
Two projects I had seen Susan working on over the past year are finished, and she brought them to show me… this crochet blanket made from yarn scraps (love the colors!):
And this one is just amazing:
Now I would love to make that… but I’d need to have Susan living a bit closer by to help me I think!
I love the flower edging:
Now for the mini quilt show… (please excuse the boxes in the background!!). I won’t comment on each, just show you them all…
Aren’t they all so pretty? And I might add, they are all her own designs! Such a clever lady 🙂
So in amongst all the boxes and unpacking we had a bit of fun! It’s always lovely to see Susan’s latest finishes.. very inspiring!
In other news.. I found this in one of the boxes….
…the little shopping trolley I got from Judy… perfect for my 100 days of hexies 🙂
Hope you’re all having a relaxing weekend…
Nothing like a quilt show! Nice work on the crocheted blanket, Susan.
Glad you had a good time with Susan and Keith, now wonder what you made with the fabrics that used to be in that shopping trolley!!??
A bit embarrassed to see the mini show, but we’ll both say a big thanks. Yes, I thought you got fabric in that little trolley & also wondering what it became. We did have a good day, didn’t we? Take care.
Beautiful show & tell. Love the basket Keith made, it’s wonderful. Hugs,xx
Your friends are both very clever….Beautiful crocheting as well as gorgeous quilts. Thanks for sharing Joy xx
you are lucky to have your amazing friends. that second afghan is so pretty as are the quilts. nancy
A fun show and tell. Susan and her hubby are very talented! I remember the wee trolley – glad you found it again!
she has some great quilts
Gorgeous quilts. I do love that afghan with the flowers. I will not even hope to learn how to do that. Sounds like a fun day!!
What a great show and tell! I was surprised when I saw the giant granny square afghan because it reminded me of my very first crafting project when I was twelve. My aunt showed me how to make one and I spent hours going ’round and ’round!
