Time is flying by… it’s already been two weeks since I left Oz….. DH managed to get a couple of weeks off from work, so we’ve been out and about a few times, seen some movies, and generally just relaxed!
UPDATE: THE STITCHERIES ARE NO LONGER UP FOR FREE, BUT ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN THE MEMBERSHIP.
First of all, for those waiting for the next mermaid, here she is:
Isn’t the mercat cute?! Did you even know mercats exist? Well, if there are mermaids, there are mercats of course 🙂
Just click on the pic above to go to the stitchery pattern!
If you missed the first one, you can find it in this post.
The first two blocks go together… I am thinking of making a wallhanging with mine…
Mine you say? Have I started stitching? Well, not quite, but I did go here:
To buy some plain white fabric:
Hmmm… somehow this jelly roll snuck in…. Robert Kaufman’s Beckford Terrace Roll-Up….
Not sure how that happened.. but it’s pretty isn’t it?!
Since I don’t have a light box with me, I will attempt to trace on the window tomorrow and start one of the mermaids….
In other news…
I started a new crochet project…
There is nothing better than starting a new project when you’re on vacation, right?
I followed this tutorial on youtube called The Glorious Granny Stitch Tutorial… I just love the texture in this pattern!
I am going to keep going ’round and ’round until I run out of yarn…
I am terribly behind on blog comments and emails, but since DH’s vacation has almost come to an end, I intend on catching up when he goes back to work. I think the break from social media and the internet in general has been good for me.
That’s it for now.. in a few days I’ll put up the next free Gingerbread Village block, until then I hope you are all well and stitching up a storm!
What a perfect yarn for the special crochet block!
The new mermaid is so sweet!
I *love* the colors in your crochet project! Glad you’ve been able to get some down time – especially since it’s been with your DH!
Mercats–how fun is that!!!!
Glad you and DH are having some together time–as that is what your
vacation is all about–right???
and it is funny how we got into a store for just one item and come out with at least two, or three , or six or—–?????
luv, di
Sounds like you are having a wonderful holiday, enjoy. Crotchet looks lovely. It will make a great knee rug when you get home. X
You sound quite chilled out. The granny square looks lovely with the elongated stitch. Now, I wonder what will become of that jelly roll?
Keep relaxing & think of us tomorrow at the polling station trying to figure out how to fill in the stupid voting forms(giggle). Take care.
Hi Joy, I am glad you are getting some time to spend with your hubby. Nothing like spending time together. Your new crochet project is very pretty. Have a good week-end. Nancy
Lovely crochet project the yarn sure is a pretty colorway. The newest Mermaid pattern is sweet thank you.
Mercats – of course! And there has to be merdogs too, right? I know all about going to the fabric store for white fabric – and coming out with several others things that somehow manage to leap into your basket on the way by.
Thanks so much for the cute mermaids and the gingerbread BOM! They are much appreciated!
