After travelling in style I am home safe and sound… have I ever told you I hate travelling? However, since I was able to use my points to upgrade to business class, it was actually enjoyable!
I promised you some photos, so we’ll start with them… (warning! Lots of photos!!)
Oh, I should start with when I was waiting for the taxi at 10pm outside our apartment… someone wanted to come with…
Funny kitty cat was just waiting patiently with me.. didn’t even move when the taxi pulled up and I hopped in – poor thing was still sitting there when we pulled away!
My flight was scheduled to leave at 2.45 am, but I wanted to get there early to enjoy the business class lounge… It was really quiet, with lots of spots to relax..
Heaps of nice food too for a midnight snack…
Oh, and quilt inspiration…
Even in the bathroom 🙂
I do like the way they roll up the towels… so fancy…
I’m thinking fabric rolled up like that on display would look pretty cool in a sewing room!
Around 2 am we boarded and I found my seat:
Look at all that space! Little shelves with drinks and spots to put things… and the table beside to put more stuff!
The seat has different settings and can go completely flat!
I did manage to get five hours sleep, it’s almost like being in a bed 🙂 The other cool feature is the first button above which brings the chair forward… because I have short legs, I couldn’t reach the footrest, but pushing the seat forward made it super comfy to watch a movie or read a book…
There were drinks and snack on demand…
And the food actually tasted good!
Like I said above, it made the journey enjoyable!
Pity I can’t travel like that everytime 🙂 Now I have used most of my points, but it was well worth it……
I’ve been home for a week now, and unpacked with some help from another photobombing cat…
Seriously! Doesn’t she know it’s dangerous to climb into suitcases?!
As you can see, I brought back some yarn, threads, ric rac, and other odds and ends.
Now to get into the sewing room…. got a 101 things I want to do!
Hope you enjoyed seeing how the other half lives travels – if you ever get the chance to upgrade, do it!
Back next time with sewing progress I hope!
Welcome back, we missed you on the weekend. Looks great, perhaps it is not such a good idea now that you actually know what you will be missing next time??
Isn’t business class grand!! I think it is the only way to fly over the oceans. Looks like you came home with quite a haul.
Glad you are home–and in style!!! though I think you should of brought that kitty back with you–!!!!
I have only flown about 2 hours long–so need for business class–that all it takes to fly from Florida to NY–non stop–it is about hour and half in Fla drive to the airport and only half hour here in NY to get to the airport–!!!
Ok now back to loving on the kitty and sewing and by looks of things–
some knitting/crocheting!!!
luv, di
Glad you are home. What a way to fly. Looks super. Love that mosaic wall. Hugs,xx.
Oh dear, I forgot all about your upgrade when we talked the other day. And……I’m jealous. Now that is the way to travel. More goodies to put away!!!! Love the little puss on the footpath & Sapphy, you are certainly a cutie. Thanks for the amazing pics inside the plane. See you soon.
Welcome back down under! and so great you had such a lovely comfortable flight too…. hmmm…. I know i’d like to play in the suitcase too!
Hugz
Wow! Traveling first class sure looks so nice! Welcome home. Nancy
Welcome home, my goodness your trip home looked a lot flasher than Qantas Business class. Glad you had a good trip. X
Ooh, there’s even a USB charger. Oh, what luxury!!! Welcome back.
So much fun to get to see how it all could be if our pocketbooks were bottomless! lol
Thanks for sharing!
Wow – talk about luxury! Thank you for the photos – closest I’ll ever get to flying anything beyond econo. Good thing the kitty inspector checked out all those intriguing odds and ends you brought back – can’t have anything untoward in that suitcase!
Oh – that does look very enjoyable – you will struggle back in economy now !
What an adventure getting home – a nice way to end your month away. It does look like Sapphy missed you just as much as you missed her!
Fun stuff!! I love that you collect kitty friends everywhere. I am not organized yet even though you are back. Not sure where the time has gone!!
