It doesn’t take much to convince me to join in on challenges and goals that are going around in blog world…. I just came across the 2019 Finish-A-Long challenge, in time for making Quarter 3 Goals… since I needed to make some goals anyway, I thought I would join in!
I found out about this Finish-A-Long challenge from Karrin at Karrin’s Crazy World. Thanks for the heads up Karrin!
So, here are my goals, in no particular order:
1. Finish my Christmas Star Table Topper (need to trim and bind it)
2. Finish my 40th Birthday Quilt (need to fix the wavy border, finish the quilting, then trim and bind it)
3. Finish the Christmas Wreath (need to quilt, trim and bind)
4. Finish Patchwork Bunny Applique (I mean, Spring in the Northern Hemisphere is done, but Spring Down Under is still coming.. so I should still finish it.. right?! I’ve done the applique, just need to quilt, trim and bind)
Hmmm seems to be a theme going here… “quilt, trim, bind”…. good thing it is winter – the perfect time to sit down at night and hand bind….
5. Finish Autumn Tumbler Quilt, with or without Sapphy’s help (needs another row, then quilt, trim and bind!)
6. Finish two patchwork bags (need lining and handles)
Ok, that will do it. If I can even finish half of them, I’ll be happy!!
But before I start to work on those goals, I need to finish our Christmas in July Stitchalong… I have started block 3:
And the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop is about to begin… so I need to finish my project for that! Hint: it’s got something to do with a hexagon….
Well, it is late… so I’d better head for bed so that I can get up early tomorrow and work on some of the projects above 🙂
Hope you are all having a great weekend!
Linking up with Throw a Wench in the Works!
There are lots of great projects here…good luck with your finishes. I really like your 40th birthday quilt with the feature diamond shapes.
I just answered you on my email, when you asked if you should join in, then went to read blogs and there you had joined! Great projects and glad you joined us!
Lots of great projects there to finish Joy..
Hmmm ! I remember when you started the Bunny 🐰!
Joy, i think you have made all very doable goals. Looking forward to your progress reports.
Lots of lovely projects to finish off. Love your birthday quilt. Hugs, xx
Wow – you have what looks like a long (but very fun!) list! Sometimes putting it down in writing is the best incentive.
oh I think you will easily get all that done!!! haha….. I always have such a struggle sewing with those metallic threads….
Hugz
You’ve plenty to keep you busy the rest of the year!!!!!
Good luck on finishing all of the above! I would like to see a picture of the handbags! Nancy
That will keep you busy and out of mischief.
Beautiful projects, and only 6 to achieve! One per month and it’s done ;)) Love the Autumn Tumbler Quilt, very pretty colors
My goodness!!!!! And you are off again in September. ………. my mind boggles & so congrats, on making the long list & hope you achieve all at the end. I’d not dare even try. I’m looking forward to drawing up my first Christmas bauble & choosing colours, but that is about it. Take care.
It’s hard to imagine it is winter where you are! I love your projects (especially your Christmas wreath and tumbler quilt!) and your kitty helper. 🙂
Looks like you have a lot to finish, but I am sure you’ll be delighted with all of them. Great projects!!
Sounds like great finishing plans for the third quarter! Best of luck with all of them.
Thanks for letting us know about this finish-along. I’m getting in on it now for motivational help!
What beautiful projects you have on your list! Good luck with the finished. I’m sure you’ll do it! 😉 Carol
Good luck with your goals for this quarter Joy – if you gt through them, that’s a whole lot of finishes 🙂 PS At least if Sapphy starts camping on one project you have plenty of others to pick up and get on with – no excuses!
