I’ve been visiting my friend Annie a bit lately, and thought I’d share some pics of her sewing room and quilts…
Some of you may know Annie from when she used to blog…. she hasn’t blogged for a while, but is more active on Instagram now.
Anyway, I read her blog before we met in real life… and that was by accident.. took me a little while to connect the real person with the blog!
I think her true love is her garden… and you’ve seen some photos of it already, but she also loves quilting, crochet and other crafts!
The other day she had just finished a crochet blanket when I got to her place, so we went out and did a photo shoot…
I don’t think we’ll run out of places to photograph our finished projects for a while!
Isn’t her blanket lovely?
After that we were off to her sewing room, which is such a cozy place!
She has a Janome, which just goes to show that I am even friends with people who don’t have Berninas 😛
She was in bag making mode…part way through this cute one:
I’ll be sure to show you a pic when it’s finished!
I love how she has all her sewing and craft stuff displayed around the room…
Lots of little baskets full of crafty goodness…
Including these scrap baskets:
They remind me of the ones that Fiona has…. all nicely organized!
Check out the thread holder at the edge of this photo:
I’ll have to take a better photo of it next time I am there… it’s a great idea!
Annie has some of her quilts hanging up on the walls.. love this one:
And this cute wall hanging – Gail Pan’s Christmas wishes:
I love the way she has hung it up with what looks like a thick wooden knitting needle… I know I have some of them somewhere….
There’s some more crocheted blankets and cushions around the place…
And, a cat in amongst the quilts… of course….
It’s truly a lovely place to visit and stitch…. and get inspired!
Hope you enjoyed the tour of her sewing room…
In a few days I’ll be visiting someone else’s sewing room from blogland…… so stay tuned!
What a beautiful yard and wow! to the sewing room! Thanks for sharing the tour of her sewing studio!
Inspirational! But I need my nap first.😆
Looks like a gorgeous and inspiring place to visit! Thank you for sharing photos of Annie’s place 🙂
What a lovely day you would have had. I love Annie’s creative space. If only I didn’t have to share a room with Trev. Mind you I am slowly pushing him out. Crotchet blankets always make a space cosy. X
Looking forward to the weekend, but my sewing space is not so need and tidy, so no pics!
What a beautiful sewing room with so many creative goodies. Lovely location outside, too.
Beautiful things! Love the idea of using the knitting needle for hanging a wall hanging. Maybe that would be good for the Christmas ornaments I embroidered. Still have not decided on anything definite. Too sick to do anything. Nancy
A bit of sewing room envy coming on. Need to ddo some stitching to relax a bit, but too busy running here & there & not good inet connection. Take care.
I love a fun studio tour – and this was no exception. So many pretties to admire, but I have to say I love that ‘Knitter’s Aint’ Quitters’ fabric! And I most definitely have Janome-envy (sorry, I know you like Bernina’s!).
