Welcome to the August installment of Sew Early 4 Christmas! Today I am sharing four tutorials of quick gifts you can make to get ahead for Christmas!
This month I thought I would feature four tutorials for quick Christmas gifts… you know me, I love quick and easy projects! They make me feel like I have accomplished something!
Please note, I haven’t tried these tutorials myself (except for my own of course), but they look quick and easy..
Quick Christmas Gift tutorial #1 ~ Drawstring Gift Bag
Last year Pam from Threading My Way, did a tutorial for our Sew Early 4 Christmas blog hop of a cute drawstring bag… I think she is the queen of drawstring bags, so I thought I’d feature this other one she has made!
It’s a different method, but Pam’s tutorials are always clear and easy:
These little bags do away with using wrapping paper. Imagine embroidering the name of the person receiving the gift on the outside… or just adding a tag..

The great thing about gift bags is that once they’ve “opened” their gift, they can use the bag for something else…. 🙂
QUICK CHRISTMAS GIFT TUTORIAL #2 ~ Snow Angel
Next up is this sew cute Snow Angel Tutorial by Roseanne from Home Sewn By Us
I love snow, snowmen, and now snow angels 🙂
I’m thinking it would be cute to add as a tag on Christmas presents (write the recipient’s name on the back), and then they could use it as an ornament next year….

QUICK CHRISTMAS GIFT TUTORIAL #3 ~ Reversible Tissue Box Covers
Susan at Super Mom No Cape has some really great tutorials, and this is one I would like to try out soon…
I have lots of tissue boxes around the house, and since I buy the cheap no-name ones, they are pretty boring ones… I reckon I “need” to make some of these cute covers for them! Susan has very clear instructions on how to make these covers for any size tissue box.

QUICK CHRISTMAS GIFT TUTORIAL #4 ~ Little Teabag Pouches
Last but not least is this really super quick tutorial for Little Teabag Pouches that I made last year…
These little Teabag Pouches literally take less than 5 minutes to make!
You can also use them to put other things in…. like chocolate 🙂

Well, that’s it for this month’s Sew Early 4 Christmas!
Hope you get some ideas and try out some of these tutorials…. and get ahead with your Christmas gifts!
Fun projects – and nice that they are handy for stash busting too. Nice little gifts to have on hand for those unexpected occasions too.
Hi Joy,, Thank you again. I need to make up some of those kleenex box covers! Well, I need to do a lot of things! LOL Nancy
Thanks so much Joy for sharing my Reversible Tissue Box Cover Tutorial in your roundup for things to Sew Early for Christmas! I hope people enjoy making them. 🙂
Nice collection! Good to see the pretty ideas!
Hi Joy! Thanks so much for sharing the snow angel tutorial. I see the other three projects are noteworthy, too. I really want to check them all out! I want to make the tissue box covers, and what a great idea to make them reversible. Those sweet Teabag pouches are just perfect, too. I have a good friend that loves ALL things tea. Those would be fun to put in the kid’s stockings with some candy in them, and then they can store their treasures in them. Finally, the drawstring bags are just perfect for friends of ours who are into crafting. The perfect keep-everything-in-one-place kind of bag. ~smile~ Roseanne
Thanks so much for including my drawstring bags, Joy! I’ll be making more this year. I’m hoping to use Dione’s idea of a gift bag for a tea lover, and your tea bag pouches would be perfect.
